Recently, Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition was free on Epic Games. So I got, installed and played it. The connection via Galaxy worked fine and I was always able to start it from there (I like to track my gametime with Galaxy)

Now one week later the battlefront entry has been split: Apparently I now own the regular edition on Origin and the Celebration Edition on EG. However, only the regular (origin) game shows as being installed.
When trying to start it, it starts the Origin launcher, which in return does not recognize me as owning the game.
When clicking the "install" button in the Celebration Edition, it redirects me to the EGS, where the game is already installed.

I tried reconnecting both Origin and Epic Games but nothing worked. Apparently the EGS-integration is official but how this can be actually approved by people is beyond me.
Why did it split the game? Why does it not recognize it as being on the system while other EGS-games don't have the problem?

I'll also open a ticket but I think we all know how little they care about their user-base...

I am having the exact same issue. It's beyond frustrating.
It's got to be something bugging out about EGS redirecting to Origin or something. Steam games that redirect to uPlay can also just be launched from uPlay directly, but for whatever reason Origin wants to launch EGS too, so now you're supposed to use Galaxy to launch EGS and then Origin to launch the game. This shit is bananas.
But I'm also having the same issue and I'm assuming so is everyone else who snagged it and uses Galaxy.
