Here is why.

Embarcer Group who Deep Silver, Koch, THQ Nordic merged with Gearbox Entertainment today.

Finally might see Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands 3 released for sale on gog.com.

Maybe Godfall will also be released for sale on gog.com.

Here is the news on it.

Well I cannot figure out how to make it work. I cannot post websites because of my low reputation so I have to take out http, usually it works when I do that, but for some reason it is not working this time.
Meanwhile, the beast formerly known as THQ Nordic AB will also acquire Aspyr Media:

THQ Nordic also just merged with a mobile phone video game developer I just read about it just now.
Bordrrlands 1 please! Crossing fingers to see it here mid year to near the end.
that would be cool. A shame we still haven't gotten Dead Island here but perhaps Techland is too busy to create a GOG version, especially if GOG insists on features equal to the Steam

Stop putting fear in people that gog.com will make GOG Galaxy mandatory to be used in the video games purchased on gog.com.

I know you said features equal to Steam, but as long as GOG Galaxy is not required to start up like Steam, I hope that equality does not happen on gog.com.
Well.
Gearbox made good games, but their management was tugs collar from my understanding. Since you know; Magic Trick on a USB Stick and The Assassination of Duke Nukem by the Coward Randy Pitchford...I can only hope the merger results in a large shaking out of the skeletons that are in the rafters.
well hope some will get these here

I dont like their games
Godfall is a cashgrab dont buy !! its a scam!
That's good news, unfortunately Randy Pitchford will remain in charge of Gearbox, and he doesn't seem interested (at all) in releasing Borderlands on GOG.
I'm ready for some Borderlands. My retail copy doesn't work anymore since they shutdown the date-check servers a while ago, effectively turning my retail version into a pricey coaster (the wonderful world of DRM i guess...).

I can only hope this is temporary and he gets a golden parachute or kicked to a window office.

like in robocop?
Unfortunately being part of Embracer Group doesn't seem to mean that much, regarding GOG releases.

AFAIK, these companies still operate kind of in an independently manner.
THQ Nordic and Deep Silver release their games here, but Coffee Stain (makers of Satisfactory) and Saber Interactive don't. And in the case of the latter, everything they do lately is Epic exclusive: WWZ, Ghostbusters Remastered (this one is on Steam now), Crysis Remastered, Snowrunner.

So what I mean is, if Gearbox doesn't want to put Borderlands here, no one at Embracer will force them too. Also, Borderlands is owned by Gearbox, but I think the publishing rights belong to 2K, so they also have a say in the matter.
