All my settings are public on steam except for the 2 tick boxes:

Always keep my total playtime private even if users can see my game details.
and
Always keep Steam Gifts private even if users can see my inventory.

But connect is still saying my steam profile is not public.

"Your Steam profile shows that there are no games in your library. This most likely means that your Steam account is set to Private. Please make your profile Public, then return to this page and click Refresh. "

Anyone know if this is happening to others ?

EDIT:

Working ok now ! as of 1/6/2018

That's the 1st of June and not that crazy American date format :)

As far as I can remember some users faced problems with GOG Connect
Again, contact support, tell them your story and wait for the solution.
Otherwise you may have a peek around the forum
GOG Connect isn't running at the moment, so of course no eligible games can be found.

I suspect it's just a poorly written error message giving the wrong impression.
Thanks for the info guys.

No, that's not the message he's getting. Once you connect it will tell you "no eligible games" or something similar if connect isn't currently offered.

Sounds there there is a glitch somehow.

[EDIT]

Oh snap : Your Steam profile shows that there are no games in your library. This most likely means that your Steam account is set to Private. Please make your profile Public, then return to this page and click Refresh.

And I just confirmed I have everything set to "Public".

Hmmmm.

No, but my account has worked in the past but I'm getting the same message as the OP. I think it might be blanket use of one error message which doesn't quite fit all contexts.

Either that or the same error is now affecting me.

It may be that it is affecting you as well. I have had times when no games showed up on the GOG list before and it never said "your Steam profile shows that there are no games in your library."

I do wonder if it is something that changed on GOG's side or something to do with privacy changes on Steam's side that affects how GOG connects.

I'm getting the same message as SirPrimalform, and I've never had any such issues in the past. Have you checked that you haven't got that error message as well?

I am 100% getting the message. I'm wondering if there is anyone who isn't. Or at least anyone who hasn't wiped cookies recently. I did and that may be part of it.
I'm getting no such message. Just no eligible games found.

Yeah, I just so happened to check gog.com/connect a few minutes ago to see if there were any new games added to that & saw the message re: Steam profile privacy. This is the 1st time I've seen that message & I confirmed everything on the Steam side was still set to public, refreshed the gog connect page, yet the message still remains. Seeing as others are commenting on this issue & not just me, I'll go out on a limb & say that this is a widespread issue. I won't guess where the issue lies since I'm no programmer, but hopefully this'll be resolved soon.

I visited the Connect page and am getting the same errors as the original poster here. The exact error I receive is:

"Your Steam profile shows that there are no games in your library. This most likely means that your Steam account is set to Private. Please make your profile Public, then return to this page and click Refresh. "

My Steam profile is in fact set to public as the OP claims, and anyone can visit my profile and see the games themselves. I have my inventory hidden from public, but everything else is visible and has been for years.

It seems like either Steam has changed something on their end which has broken things for GOG, or GOG has changed something which has broken Connect, or GOG has reached the maximum API requests for the day through the Steam API. Since Connect is presumably not offering any games at the moment, the latter seems unlikely. I'd wager that the new European privacy law stuff has resulted in Valve updating Steam to comply with that, and that somehow this has changed the API or the availability of certain information through the API which in turn is causing GOG to no longer be able to see it.

Hopefully Judas or someone else from GOG will investigate the issue and comment back here in this thread to share any info that can be determined about the issue.
My guess is that the Summer Sale will begin next week, it'll include a new round of GOG Connect, and someone must have screwed something while preparing the systems for it.

Maybe? Who knows? There's no use speculating, really. The best course of action is to bring this issue to GOG's attention.
I have the same message stating "Your Steam profile shows that there are no games in your library. This most likely means that your Steam account is set to Private. Please make your profile Public, then return to this page and click Refresh." I have had my Steam account set to Public ever since the whole May 25th privacy issue outcry started months ago...maybe this has to do with that...
