I know it's not a big deal... But from an engineering point of view GOG should be a plug (as a consumer) and Steam should be a socket (as a supplier).

But aren't you connecting Steam account to GOG account and aren't GOG the ones who provide games?

GOG is providing games to us, end-users. But the reason for this is Steam. Because connected account has these games. So in my opinion Steam is a supplier: without games on a Steam account GOG will not provide anything.

Yeah, but no. You bought most of them in the first place, those were your money. If you want to thank Steam for that, go ahead. A free copy of those games you already bought is a result of deals GOG makes with publishers. Again, if you want to thank Steam for that... :shrug:

Sorry, I don't quite get which thanking you're talking about. I'm talking solely about a process of transferring a game from one store to another and its depicting seems slightly misleading to me. No more, no less.
