Hi,

I've recently downloaded the Gwent the witcher card game, I started the tutorial and everything was fine until the second phase when that round / discard cards TIMER appeared. I hate playing card games under the pressure of time.

Is there a way to remove the timer cuz from what I've seen in the settings there wasn't?

I saw some a post about people complaining about the game taking to long and stuff but let's be serious, this sort of games should give the option to use a timer or not. I for one won't play it with timer.

It's an online multiplayer game, it would make no sense to not have a timer, which frankly is more than generous. You don't want the other player to dawdle forever and unnecessarily waste your time and vice versa.

Not related to your question, but you should probably know (especially if you're planning on spending money on it) that you just started playing a game that is already planned to be put on life support.

If you want a single-player game, there's either Gwent: Rogue Mage or Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.

Thank you Ice mage for a proper answer, I've just had look at one of the review videos for mage rogue and saw there was no timer, so that's what I'll be playing.

Don't get me wrong I would love to play vs other players but the timer in the other Gwent game is just ridiculously short considering the way the game is made...there are so many descriptions for each card and it takes a long time to learn all of them and even then you might have to recheck some of them for positioning and stuff not to mention coming up with a strategy. I think they could ve done a better job at it, for ex: Longer timer, no timer for 1 minute and than pop a timer and the player can confirm that he is not idle and maybe pop another timer after about 3 min as a final timer.
