I have installed gwent from the apple app store months ago and it turns out that there is a Prime Gaming gift to be had. I cannot claim the gift as Gwent is not registered in my GOG account. I do not want to lose my game progress just to log in with my GOG account - how can I get these two connected to claim the gift?

A GOG.com account is required to play Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, regardless of platform. So you need to log in with that account, and then redeem the code from Amazon Prime.

From the FAQ:
• CROSS-PLAY and CROSS-BUY are available between PC and mobile devices with iOS or Android operating systems under the same GOG.COM account.
• If you’re using the same GOG.COM account you will have access to your progress and card collection no matter the platform you’re using. Transfer of progress or in-game resources from one account to another is not possible.
• Having an account on GOG.com is necessary. You can sign up for a free GOG account here.

If problems persist, open a support ticket but bear in mind it may take some time before you get a response. You may want to simultaneously post your question on the Gwent forum.

can you log in to Gog.com with your apple id email? The Gwent should be there.

Your Gwent account is your GOG account. Try to sign up with your same data.

I successfully claimed the code. Will the item appear ingame automatically?

Yes, just go to open your kegs and there it will be a special keg, plus a card.
