Hey all,

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was trying to figure out why I can't post links, or how exactly you go about doing it? I'm guessing the website just doesn't want spam which I understand, but I believe I found something particularly rare in Diablo 1 and was told to actually ask GOG on here since it's pretty interesting. I have a link to Youtube and Imgur since I saved evidence of my gameplay and photos.

It won't let me paste the links though in the appropriate forum, so any other ideas? If you have to wait a few months or gain rep or something, I guess that's how it is, but I just wanted to share this with the Diablo members because I think this is a very rare occurrence in the game.

You need a few points of rep to post links, from what I remember.

Okay thanks, I guess I'll just keep posting stuff or wait.

AFAIK waiting doesn't improve your rep.

You can receive only one point of rep per day (for the first post you publish in that day), so you'll have to wait a week or so and post something during this time. You can also receive bonus points of rep if someone marks your post as an answer or if your post receives positive rating (the + and - buttons on the right side of every post).

Okay thanks for the info. Dang that really stinks, especially if you have something that could be obscure enough nobody has found yet in the game after all these years. Right now I just pasted my links on a picture so people could type it in. I guess I'll keep plugging away at the rep then.

I found this when I first joined.

What is rep?
- "rep" or "reputation points" is the number located just underneath a user's avatar. Its intended purpose was to show how active or "involved" a person is in the community.
- The number increases 1 point per day for posting. You can also gain more points from receiving +1s on your posts or being marked as the answer on question threads.
- The number decreases when you receive -1s on your posts.
- You'll receive stars next to your rep number for hitting certain rep marks. You'll have 1 star at 25 points, 2 stars at 150 points, 3 stars at 450 points, 4 stars at 1,000 points, and 5 stars at 2,500 points.
- Neither rep nor stars gives you anything extra besides the number beneath your avatar in the forum.

Why can't I post links?
- This is an anti-spam feature in the forum put in place in order to ensure that bots do not sign up fake accounts for the purpose of posting links to scam websites. If your rep is less than 7, you cannot post links, and if you attempt to, your post will not go through (it may simply say "Please wait. Processing..." without ever actually doing so or closing the box where you're typing your post).

Cool thank you!
My favourite choccy.
Here have a +1
I cannot even open Threads. I wanted open a thread what to do if Desperado Code (which I got from GOG today) is invalid. This forum here is like from the early 2000'.

As I remember, you need to be active here for some time until you can do it. Ask the Forum Support. These guys are supposed to answer these questions. Probably, you can already post links.

I suggest you go contact support. Also make sure you are using up to date browser.
And yes, GOG's forum software is from dark ages.
