Hey guys,

So I had this idea about categories on this store. I think it would be great if we could browse games by year or perhaps by decade. For example, it would be great to have a category for 90's games for 2000's games and so on. I personally am mainly interested in 90's PC games only. Maybe a few early 2000's but mostly 90's and it isn't easy to find them in the sea of games on this website.

Just something to consider.

Thank you! :)
I think this is one of those hidden search categories, but feel free for a more experienced user to crosscheck me.

Like Darvond mentioned, the functionality is there, but hidden. Several years GOG has made website redesign and left release date filters inaccessible through website interface. This post explains how to modify URLs to use them:

I did not know that. Hope they make this feature not hidden so it's easy to use. Thanks for the reply! :)

Since they hid it when they redesigned the site (a couple of months before you joined), seems more likely that they'll remove it entirely than that they'll re-add it to the UI...

You don't need GOG's help for that. This functionality --- and many others --- are already available through a browser add-on:

Use Wikipedia:

There are various ways to slice the information. Website here is useless and broken and will not get fixed.

Note: as evidenced by the fact you can’t even post links into posts anymore without it adding url= and breaking previous functionality. Utter crap!

It has been broken for a long time. It's the colon in this case.

Here, I fixed the link.

It’s all been broken for a long time. Just another way of saying use the optional client.

I think there's still a faint hope for the forum. Because it is shared with the optional client, it's an embarrassment which they may yet fix at some point.
