• Missing Nightmares expansion manual. Replacement available here (thanks to Bolch76).
That link is broken in that thread, btw.

Grargar: The just-released Black Moon Chronicles has no manual in the extras, but, there is something pretty interesting written on the storepage:

Notice: Black Moon Chronicles has an HTML manual available from the Start menu shortcut for the game.

Is that a dig at us? :P
No, it's to let people know that there is a manual available but in HTML since we don't have one we can add to the bonus items :P I did have this thread in mind, though, when making that notice on the card :P

Treasure: I just found a manual for the game on the site where I usually find french manuals -I was inspired to look there by IAmSinistar mentioning in the release thread that this game's based on a BD (francophone comic) and linked to a page with the BD's french title, which allowed me to search for it in the database for the french manuals. I found it here and, despite what the page says, it is multilingual and has french, english, german inside. I'm not going to link to it in the gogmix though atm because all I saw there was install instructions and a story blurb which reduce its usefulness (ZFR will probably want the manual anyways though, since he counts story blurbs as more useful than I do...).
So I wanted to ask: Does the html manual include the same information as this manual I found or is it more extensive by any chance? Thanks in advance.
It's a LOT more extensive.

Here is a badly cropped screenshot of the manual as it appears in a browser. Please note the words aren't cut off or anything, just trying to crop with a PrtScrn of dual monitors is a pain :D

Grargar: No, but yes and yes, but no. :P

Anyway, since you're here, could you please investigate the two following discrepancies?

Baldur's Gate - Siege of Dragonspear mentions 3 manuals in its extras, but none in its Deluxe Edition. Is that intentional?

Tropico 5 Complete Collection Upgrade has the manual in its extras, but the Tropico 5 Complete Collection doesn't. What gives?

Also, I understand that you may not be able to add some of the manuals from this list, but would it at least be possible to add the manuals mentioned in Appendix B of this post? They are already in the installation folder of the game and it would help to have them available in the extras without having to installing the game.
Chantelise and Recettear also have HTML manuals and I'll fix the game cards on those in a bit :)

As for the rest of the manuals in Appendix B, we'll add them to the bonus goodies section as soon as possible :)

Treasure: Thanks -no need to bother linking that other one then. It is a bit weird though that the html manual is more extensive than the one that (presumably) came in the box with the game - I suppose the html manual was given on the disc and thus was an early version of "The manual is on the disc" encountered in many modern games then...
Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters and Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale have received their HTML manual notices :)

ZFR: I got the following response today regarding adding missing manuals, particularly those from Appendix B. The original ticket was opened 22nd April.

"Hello, I apologise for the delayed response.
Our ability to release certain games and content is less dependable on the availability of the files, but more on the agreements with their publishers.
The bonuses are constantly being worked on, unfortunately I am unable to disclose any details.
I apologise for the inconvenience.

Hence "as soon as possible" :)

ZFR: Thanks Judas. Any help from you is really appreciated. :)

Did you have anything to do with the fact that I finally got a response today? Seems a bit of a coincidence that I get an answer when you post to look into it.
No, I did not but we did get some new blood in the Support department so that might be it :)

Grargar: Could you do the same for the two Serious Sam games? They also have html manuals.

Also, you didn't answer my questions regarding the two discrepancies:

Grargar: Thank you, Judas. :)

The Deluxe Edition of Siege of Dragonspear, however is still missing the 4 artworks. :P (That's it from me, I won't bother you anymore today.)
Fixed.

Treasure: Fyi: The 3 new Disney games released today (Aladdin, Lion King, and Jungle Book) have no manuals in the extras. I already found manuals for Aladdin and Lion King, but not yet for Jungle Book -at least not for its dos version, which is what was released here (it seems that the versions of the games here are the dos ones). I'll keep looking for Jungle Book...
edit-I found Jungle Book's French manual at least...

P.S Btw, should I prod the individual who said he was going to scan the manual for Parkan Iron Strategy or let it be until he remembers it himself?
He doesn't need prodding, really :P
The new Master of Orion now has a lovely manual :)

ZFR: • Did the box version of Black Moon Chronicles come with a full manual? See this post for details:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/list_of_gog_games_with_missing_manuals_and_where_to_find_them/post182
We have a boxed version of the game and the manual is made in HTML and is included with the game. The only paper manual our version ever had was one of those "here's how to install the game from the CD" manuals.
avatar
JudasIscariot: was one of those "here's how to install the game from the CD" manuals.
avatar
ZFR: Thanks!

Did the "install from CD" booklet contain a story blurb?

How easy would it be for you to scan it?
No, I think it just contained some basic marketing text about the game, nothing of major importance. It would be easy for one of us to scan it but what would be the point? It's literally "how to operate your CD-ROM drive and install Black Moon Chronicles" :)
avatar
ZFR: I've been putting this off long enough.

The manuals list is finally up-to-date!

Running out of space. Hopefully some manuals can be added soon to make the list smaller.
Personally speaking, I would remove the Aladdin manual since it's apparently the manual for the Amiga version (see the comment after clicking on the link) rather than the actual DOS version of the game. It's up to you however :)

ZFR: Did the physical DOS version of the game come with a manual back in the day?
Not sure, to be honest. Certainly having no luck finding a DOS copy on ebay and the like where they show the box contents...

Treasure: Added to my gogmix the manuals for the newly released here Titus the Fox and the french extra Moktar La Zoubida

edit-oh wait, I swear the manual as an extra wasn't there 10 mins ago!

->Still, can someone who bought it tell me if both the manuals for Titus and Moktar are there or only one (and if so, which one)?
It's the one for Titus :)

Grargar: Another day, another release without a manual as an extra. This time, our unlucky friend is <span class="bold">Empires: Dawn of the Modern World</span>.

Luckily, you can find the manual here: http://replacementdocs.com/download.php?view.1535

Alternatively, if you prefer a non-watermaked version, you can also download it from here:
http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/2690/manuals/manual_en.pdf?t=1380847914
Manual for Empires is available after installing the game.
It has a shortcut-link in start menu and is also available here.
