fr33kSh0w2012: I just bought an 8 terabyte hdd it was mighty expensive it was.

You too, I thought I was the only one who absolutely hated TBS and RTS?!?
avatar
scientiae: I don't hate it, I just find it too irritating to play lying down. Hence I mostly play TBS, since I can take as long as I want between turns. That said, I've been playing Deus Ex for so long that I can still play it (on the highest difficulty), since all the controls are committed to muscle memory. ^_^
Erm... Why do you Game lying down, Do you have a Condition?

Fallout New Vegas, Battle Brothers, Mount and Blade Warband, Painkiller Black Edition (not modern) but what the hell, i think it's time you either build or buy a new PC at this point.

… Because anyone using an old PC must be just lazy or stupid.

No but at some point it's time to retire it especially if you use an ancient integrated intel card to this day, you hardly have to be rich to get low end system which still is far better than a integrated GPU even if it have to be be from saving up over time.

You are making a lot of assumptions.
Why does the computer need to be retired? It still works fine. I use Office 2003. The modern mania for constant updating is the aberration. If it ain't broke, why should it be fixed?

edit: forgot the interrogation mark, D'Oh! >_<

I'm surprise you didn't manage to run The Witcher 2, I manage to do so and played it several on lower setting with my old dual core rig (even crappier than your) Shadow Warrior (201#) also run smoothly on it.

The Witcher 2 requires half a GB of VRAM. So you must be talking to someone else.

Ofc i'm making assumptions when the replies i get are: Because anyone using an old PC must be just lazy or stupid.

I cannot read minds but if you have no desire to play anything newer or something that require higher specs then sure do whatever you want and i'm well aware that newer PC's want to force W10 on you and microsoft wants your money for what once was free like Office.

When i first posted it seemed to me that OP want to play games that require higher specs since he goes through games with poor performance and tries other games that don't work and in that case it seemed reasonable.

Not having any clue about the OP, I shall restrict my responses to myself.
To quote the English proverb, I'm rowing with the oars I've got.

Naturally, being a gamer posting on a gaming site, I would be pleased to play newer games. It is simply not an option for me at this time.

This website was created for old games. You would think someone posting about games that play on (old) restricted systems ought not to attract causal criticism about same.

Just because a game is old doesn't mean it isn't worth playing — modern games non obstat. Likewise, reminding those who have old systems that there are newer ones is incredibly unhelpful and completely off-topic for this thread.
