One month ago I finished Pillars of Eternity, after complete it I have waiting for a weeks to believe about the game openly, whithout the inmediate excitement and I have to say it's a great game in various facets.

Build character is enough wide so no matter what kind of character you build is still possible to complete the game. The combat maybe is not so complex like Baldu's Gate saga, but this is not a bad point, I mean, the PoE combat is deep and varied, but easy to know and hard to dominate.

What's more the plot and writting actually have been crafted with mime and passion. We have here an adult and interesting thing, topics like religion and the consequences of war are dealed with seriousness.
I thing this part is really important in this kind of games and I aprecciate the Obsidian's effort.

Last two years have been amazing for RPG's fans: Divinity Original Sin is a game with countless ways to face it and the combat is simply fantastic and overall and super enjoyable, but is wake telling the story, In my opinion. The Banner Saga, a game with a gorgeus art, great writting, viking theme and tactical combat, maybe this one need to be deeper in the next part, but is funny to play and challenging, and a lot othe fantastic cRPGs.

And Witcher III, ah Witcher, simply incredible in all aspects.

So, what is your favourite new cRPG game?

I'm waiting on playing Pillars of Eternity till they introduce that patch that adds companion AI, I simply refuse to do without that, despite being someone who very much micromanages their team anyway.

Sadly same with Wasteland 2, waiting for that GOTY edition before playing it.

Of recent years, I'd say Shadowrun Dragonfall was my most loved cRPG, though I still need to go back and finish it (I rarely do that with any game). Also liked Banner Saga a lot though again still need to finish it, especially before Banner Saga 2 comes out.

Also enjoyed Divinity Original Sin and Expeditions Conquistador (latter not that recent anymore I guess)

Wasteland 2, definitely. It's so good I'm going to replay it when the DC comes out pretty soon after having finished it for the first time, and it is super-rare that I will replay a game, especially that soon.

Excellent, I'd say. It unfolds slowly at first because you get introduced to the world and there are lots of sub-plots (that are very good too), but there are pieces of the main plot scattered here and there at first and then it starts to come together more and more until you're in the thick of it. It unfolds very well, IMO. Top notch RPG, that for some reason - probably because it is atypical in many ways for an RPG, it plays with its own unique feel, which I love personally, but a lot of people seem to not like or not be able to get used to, is more how I feel. For those people though, there is quite an elaborate tutorial guide as you go through the game - doesn't get as much love as I think it should from the RPG community. It's one of the best rpgs! It's the follow-up to Fallout 1+2 that I had always been waiting for, which is just appropriate since the original Wasteland begat the original Fallouts. PLAY it now, play it again later, especially so you can see all the differences and upgrades, I think it will be very interesting and fun to play it the 2 different ways. Also, especially because there are so many variances in the game and fun things to do differently that it will really be worth it to do again, more educated a 2nd time.

PoE is still out of my reach but I have heard that unlike WL2 KS GOG version which strips some extras PoE KS GOG version gives more. I wish if i could some how get that version of PoE.

Why on earth would you want the game to play for you?

I wouldn't have used the AI either, but personally I think that Obsidian should have at least introduced an "automatically attack an enemy alread in melee range" option, while in its original state PoE made characters auto-attack only enemies that hit them first.
I had to order my Paladin to attack nearby monsters countless times, otherwise he would just stand immobile in the crowd after killing his target while Eder engaged four enemies at once.
In very crowded situations, sometimes I didn't even notice he wasn't moving, epsecially when I confused him with enemies in full plate armor! :P

Depends, turnbased I absolutely prefer to control my characters. If it's real time though, I expect my chars to at least defend themselves rather than just stand there getting hit.

That said, I do like playing with Party AI like NWN2 Storm of Zehir as well. I'm fine if they're doing stuff if it's stuff I told them they should be doing in those situations.

Depends on how much is automated. Auto-attacking or blocking sounds ok, but when you're talking about Priests and Wizards automatically casting spells it becomes almost like the AI plays the game for you. A bit like Dungeon Siege

For me, it depends. I do agree with Phaeace, with some caveats you mention. If they are acting stupid, no thank you.
However, if they are capable of holding their own, and there are other parts of the game I would prefer to focus on, I would appreciate it. Otherwise it becomes tedious.
