Bugs are common when a big patch is released. You have to touch and modify, things in a big code, that often is not a good idea, but will fix it with time.
I have seen more of this than I did on 1.32, and also some shadow bugs, but I'd still say it's pretty rare overall. They definitely need to do some supplemental patches though, for sure.

Because of what is getting the most media attention though I would guess futile attempts to improve RT performance will be their focus.

Yep, these aren't exactly new but rather still persisting, inherited bugs from the legacy version.
2 or more NPCs clipping into each other / occupying the same space (on a chair or a bed), occasional T-posing, etc., same in Cyberpunk 2077.
