I just obtained a used PS Vita and I have no idea what games are available for the system. Can anyone recommend me their favorite titles, or perhaps just some interesting games for the system?

How are you for Terraria and Minecraft on the go?
What's your favorite genre? If you want to play interesting PS Vita 'exclusive', there's Danganronpa series and Corpse Party series.
LUMINES: Electronic Symphony (*highly* recommended, especially if you like Tetris, also cheap)
Gravity Rush (must-have)
Freedom Wars
Sound Shapes
Wipeout 2048
Virtue's Last Reward (only if you've played 999 on the DS)
Persona 4 Golden (also must-have)
Dragon's Crown
TxK
Metrico
etc etc etc

A lot of PSP games/PS1 classics are also available from the PS Store. Dissidia 012 is great if you're a Final Fantasy fan. Patapon, Loco Roco, Monster Hunter, Kula World, Silent Hill, lots more.

I'd recommend PS+ if you don't have it. You get around 3 games each month, there's always something good, and most of them are cross-buy with PS3/4. I got almost all of the above through PS+.

I don't own the PS Vita so i don't know about any specific games for that console but in my PSP 2000 i usually play PSX games plus some emulation.

Don't know if a list of some nice PSX titles interests you, but there you go:

- Metal Gear Solid
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
- Oddworld: Abe's Odyssee & Abe's Exodus
- Crash Bandicoot series
- Resident Evil series
- Silent Hill
- Alien Trilogy
- Final Fantasy Tactics
- Gran Turismo series
- Ace Combat series
- Pandemonium series

Also, don't forget that the PSX was a jRPG fan's heaven! ;)
Oh look, US PSN is also having its flash sale until 19 Oct. ;)

I recommend Ys 7, Lunar, and Zero Escape in that sale.

AlexY: Gravity Rush
I was coming in here to say exactly that, but it looks like I'm late. Seconded on Gravity Rush.
My picks :

- Uncharted Golden Abyss
- Gravity rush
- Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 & 2
- One Piece Unlimited World RED
- Virtue's Last Reward
- Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
- Assassin's Creed III Liberation
- Danganronpa 1 & 2
- Dead or Alive 5
- Dragon's Crown
- Persona 5 the Golden
- God of War Collection
- Final Fantasy X & X-2 Collection
- Killzone Mercenary
- Mortal Kombat
- Oreshika
- Soul Sacrifice Delta
- Sly Racoon's Collection & Thieves in Time
- Retro City Rampage DX
- Ys Memories of Celceta

And then there is most of the PSP library available on the Ps Store, and the Ps One classics... Enjoy your Vita!!

The Vita is a niche console, you'll love it if you like anime games and the such. I'd like to have one, but their memory cards are very pricey. However, the good thing is that it is backwards compatible with PSP games (as long they're digital versions, as the Vita doesn't have an UMD slot) and PS1 classics.

I'd recommend you the Persona series.
Tearaway, is a very cute game that uses all of the Vita's features. Haven't tried the PS4 version but I imagine the Vita one must be more interesting.

Touch my Katamari was fun, if you never played this series like me, try it, there's nothing else quite like it.

To echo other suggestions, Persona 4 the Golden is the definitive version of an amazing RPG, Gravity Rush is a fairly creative little action-adventure, and Danganronpa is halfway between Ace Attorney and a Visual Novel, if you are up for that sort of stuff it can keep you on the edge of your seat.

Well, the vista is still quite expensive, game wise anyways. My recommendation Lego games, they are great!
Ok! I've made some decisions and purchased a few classic PS1 games (such as Megaman X4 & X5, and Chrono Cross). I'll also be looking to purchase Gravity Rush sometime in the near future since the demo was pretty interesting.

Thank you all for the advice!
