Dohi64: haven't played the full game yet, but the demo is really generous. played it for 4 hours and didn't reach the end (though it's up to you how much you explore, mine, farm, etc.), decided to buy it instead. it was still in early access, after that they added all the planned content, multiplayer and other stuff, and kept updating the demo too. definitely worth checking out and I'll grab it on gog at some point as well.

Dray2k: ...The only game that can compete with Aground in terms of insanity and content is from what I can see modded Factorio (with Space Exploration) and games that you can completely change intrinsic aspects and thus completely change the nature of the game, like Skyrim. ...
Awesome review, but I really hope you are wrong about this part. I'm about halfway through SE + K2 factory myself. Well, probably more like first 1/4 or 1/5 - I can do rocket science at Nauvis orbit reliably, but things are getting more and more complex really quickly, and I have yet to visit another planet. And it took 6 days. As in - the ingame counter says 5d19h, or almost 6x24 in-game hours. Many more IRL.

If you are not wrong... I am doomed.

You have to subscribe to download any mods .. =(
You don't need a mod.io account to use mods - logging into mod.io is convenient for subscribing/updating mods, but if you hit the download button (the cloud with the down arrow), you can install mods manually by dragging the downloaded .zip file into the game window (don't extract it first, drag the actual .zip file).

Aground is less complex in its progression, however it does add tons of stuff in the same vain. There is a point in Aground where you will ask "Goddamn, doesn't the progression never end?" and "What the...that game wants me to do THIS?", theres really tons of stuff to discover you wouldn't even imagine to be in the game when you play it for the first time.

I would imagine that a "normal playthrough" of Aground to be in the 30 - 50 hour range. In terms of SE play time, consider this a Space-Exploration-but-faster.

And by the way, I have 16 full days clocked in SE and I'm not even a quarter done. The mod is so good that I can imagine it to become a free DLC at some point.
Reventure is one of my favs. This game reminds me of that one.
Am I the only one getting Frog Fractions vibes from this trailer?
The demo was a lot of fun!

Also, will GOG get "I Can't Escape: Darkness" by any chance?

fridgeband: short version: cool concept that surprised me (rare!), really fair price on sale (rare!), almost ALMOST purchased it, graphics are too pixelated and blurry for me.
Same for me, a game with an interesting concept, coming with Linux support, but ruined by bad graphics.

Thanks for making that clear. It is good to see orange text at game releases.
