Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist, a satirical point & click Western by legendary designers Al Lowe and Josh Mandel, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com!

It's been awhile since Freddy hung up his gunslinging shoes and re-invented himself as a small-town pharmacist but trouble is brewing once again. Snail stampedes, diarrhea epidemics, gassy steeds, Poker thieves - there's a cure for everything, as long as you point & click at the right place. Or know how to make proper use of your silver ear.
Great release. I'll definitely buy it sometime in the future (too many point'n clicks in my backlog now).
What's with this sudden burst of generosity, Activision? The first true Sierra game in four years, following up a highly requested release, what's your angle?
Not for me, but nevertheless I am very very glad about this release: good old games keep coming, and this one will make many GOGers happy since it was highly requested.
Somebody should post this to Reddit's r/games subreddit.
Woo-Hoo! What a wonderful release!

But why only on Windows?

So, Laura Bow coming next?

tfishell: Be nice to see some of those bundled together: a Laura Bow bundle, an EcoQuest bundle, and a Conquests bundle.

I'd support a Willy Beamish and Pepper bundle, but that might not make sense.

In general we're still missing a lot of Sierra games: Manhunter, Rise of the Dragon, Mixed-Up Fiary Tales, Aces of the Pacific, Caesar 1, Outpost 1 and 2, etc.

Seeing SWAT 4 and Freddy here, though, definitely gives me hope. :) Well done GOG and thanks Activision for working with GOG!

rgnrk: If we're going for the Dynamix/Sierra adventures and those post 3rd person:

* SIERRA*
Castle Of Dr. Brain (1991) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment
The Island Of Dr. Brain (1992) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment

Shivers (1995) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment
Lighthouse: The Dark Being (1996) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment
Shivers 2: Harvest Of Souls (1997) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment

** DYNAMIX **
Rise Of The Dragon (1990) - 1st Person, Dynamix
The Adventures of Willy Beamish (1991) - 3rd Person, Dynamix
Heart Of China (1991) - 1st Person, Dynamix
Rama (1996) - 1st Person, Dynamix

I don't have the Manhunter games nor Goldrush! in my list, so I'll have to look into it.
There are also the Mixed Up games - Fairy Tales and Mother Goose. Both are more targeting the younger audience and for both are different updated versions around. Not my cup of tea, but I'm pretty not bad games to have also in the catalog.

Edit: And now I see Fairy Tale is already mentioned in the first post. Ah, dang it. But still, I see enough Sierra classics missing that would very well would allow some nice bundle releases.

tfishell: Well, regarding Shivers, ScummVM's support for SCI2 is close to testing. :-)
wow! Great release! Never played it, but a golden era adventure is always a great addition!

Impaler26: Another old game i have never heard of before. And after a quick look it seems that i didn't miss anything. :D
You've been...living in a dream world Neo
I know it's Frebruary already, but this past 30 days must have been one hell of a month in gog's history.

At least for my taste, Indiana Jones, Ignition, Freddy, Memoranda, Lost eden, freebies... if I win that Keyaboard I'll proclaim it the best!

rgnrk: Am I the only who also wants Conquests Of The Longbow (+Conquests of Camelot)?

The missing sierra 3rd person adventure games:

Codename: Iceman (1989) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
Laura Bow: The colonel's Bequest (1989) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
Conquests Of Camelot: The Search For The Grail (1990) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
Conquests Of The Longbow: The Legend Of Robin Hood (1991) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
EcoQuest: The Search For Cetus (1991) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
Laura Bow 2: The Dagger Of Amon Ra (1992) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
Pepper's Adventures In Time (1993) - Side-scrolling, Sierra Entertainment
Ecoquest II: Lost Secret Of The Rainforest (1993) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
Would be great to get all of these on GOG.
You can get Conquest of Camelot and CONQUESTS OF THE LONGBOW:The Legend of Robin Hood from
Christy Marx website here:

http://www.christymarx.com/writing/camelot.htm

and

Again would be great to see these all of these at GOG

On the one hand, it's great that this is finally on GoG. On the other hand, I'm disappointed that there's no Mac version. I know for a fact that both the CD & Floppy versions run great in ScummVM so there shouldn't be any reason why there's no Mac version. Will still buy this in support though.
No 24 hours for free...i was hoping for a 3rd day of freebies. :0

The games above were some of my favorite games of the early 90's. I loved the Dr. Brain games, Rise of Dragon, and Heart of China especially.

My mother actually finished and loved Heart of China, and she wasn't a gamer. It was one of those classic stories of getting a parent to play games. I was watching a YouTube video lately about Kyle Bosman's mother playing The Witness, and it reminded me of when my mother played Heart of China.
I remember playing the demo from the Leisure Suit Larry bundle.

Feels good to see an old game I used to like, released.
I wasn't expecting this feeling.

Release more!
