Not Tonight is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 10% off until August 24th, 3 PM UTC.

Great Britain isn’t so great anymore. Democracy lies in ruins. The power of the people is just a myth. You find yourself fighting to scrape by, every struggle has an end, but Not Tonight.

Not Tonight combines time management with RPG elements, all baked into a politically charged story. Your choices matter, so keep your head down and exist or fight the regime.

X-com: So when is it getting released?
It's out now, the link is in the post ;)

Dalthnock: I wholeheartedly agree with GOG deleting the reviews that were posted only for political purposes, even if the game itself makes politics a major selling point.

However, I do find it somewhat disturbing that GOG seems to agree with a review that calls a vast minority of its users "Russian bots". Kinda funny coming from a reviewer called "robo" with 0 hours played and owning only 16, probably free, games. Thank you for the profiles, GOG.

Is this something that the GOG staff also believes of its customers? The review was already up before the purge, so they must've seen it.

I'm sure that's not the case, but it does leave the impression that GOG is clearly taking a side, alienating Russians & showing a certain disdain for some of its less-than-human (bots) customers.

It's all probably just a big misunderstanding. :)

EDIT: Better add some screenshots.
Troll/fake review are being removed. I'd invite you to stop trying to create narratives while ignoring the fact reviews are being removed when found to be false. It's the weekend, we don't have staff dedicated to spamming F5 on a review page.

Anyone who keeps ignoring the removal of false reviews as a means to preach their politics will lose their ability to post for a day or two. Be sensible.

Gonchi: Will GOG be deleting inflammatory troll/fake reviews on other titles? This isn't a new phenomenon, I'm wondering if this is only going to happen on new releases or if GOG is finally addressing this issue retroactively site wide.
We've been doing this for quite sometime when made aware of it, see the LePeroux event for details.

Dalthnock: This is a great idea, deleting reviews over subjective criteria is an EXCELLENT idea.

I can't possibly see however this might go wrong in any way, nope.

It's not like certain publishers/"developers" have already successfully pressured GOG to remove other means of criticism such as GOGMixes, or anything.

On the contrary, GOG has ALWAYS showed remarkable backbone, never EVER caving in immediately after a minimal amount of pressure.

While there are some valid suggestions in this thread alone on how to prevent agenda-driven reviews (I quite like the one suggesting to expand GOG Connect to reviews), ignoring everything to manually delete reviews after the fact is CLEARLY the best solution.

Yes.

You go, GOG.

You go.
Oh hi, you've changed your tune. From pointing out reviews need deleting, to now saying deleting false reviews is a bad idea.
