I decided to have a bit of a look for a game to splurge on, but when I look through the catalogue more than half the results are soundtracks, dlc for games I don't own, artbooks and other crap. Couldn't we please have the option to filter by actual games?

I've attached a picture to demonstrate what I mean. 2 games visible out of 15 results. The entire page has 14 games in 48 results.

Doesn't seem to want to work. You'll have to take my word for it. Its easy enough to have a look at the catalogue.

Edit: got it to work! Wouldn't let me upload a .png

Well, on GoG it`s best to use jpg. And NOT "JPG", since GoG seems to have problems if the file ending is in capitals.

Well, I second that. I often have that problem too. Searching for games, but get flooded with DLCs and soundtracks doesn`t help to find games you wanna buy.
Hm, you could make a wishlist entry for that.

You could filter the games via price.

Especially setting the filter to "under $25" or "$25+" will solve your problem.

GOG cares about you. Deeply. So keep buying!

It's been a couple of times in previous sales that i stopped browsing the catalog just because of that. Some say we need a price ascending/decending filter, but i think being able to filter out DLCs is more important. Both of them are welcome of course.

Or game features. DLC's didn't have features last I checked. I guess Gwent is multiplayer-only, but pretty much all other games here have single-player, so I'd filter for that.

I agree, It is pretty frustrating to have to scroll passed a bunch of DLC and soundtracks instead of being able to quickly see the price of the actual game that those extras belong to.

Please add this filter.
Until GOG implements a better search function, someone from the forums (mrkgnao) already created one and posted it
in this forum post.

It is called Magog.

It is a very useful and powerful tool which allows many filtering and sorting options. Filtering out DLCs and soundtracks is one of them.

It's sad that we have to have users do a ton of thr work to add new features/fixes to the site.....apparently GOG have more time to make a new client than work on the main site itself.

Probably intentional, they want people to start using and eventually feel invested in the client.

I am tempted to for the acheivments/etc, but for now I wouldn't do it even if they paid me....well maybe if it were 4 figures or higher......
