Why are all of my save files since I started playing still showing up in the load screen? I've deleted them multiple times.

turn off cloud saving. Then delete the files. Run the game. Then close it and turn on cloud saving.
Since I played this game recently, there is another problem. Quicksave doesn't overwrite the previous quicksave as in most games, it creates a new save. So if you are like me and use it a lot, you will end up with a lot of saves and have to delete them manually once in a while. Apparently there was a mod , something like a save games manager, it gets mentioned in the suggested mods but the links to it don't work and I couldn't find it anywhere. Btw, I also suggest to use a mod to make Geralt run faster, I hate the time you have to spend moving from place to place and I used the +30% speed option, there are two mods about that, I used the newer one.

That is actually one of it's endearing features, though. you have the option of loading from multiple save points should you encounter a glitch.

the cloud saving is not synced for my copy of the witcher, though.

I don't know if this will help but.....My Doc's....My Games....The Witcher....Saves....and delete away the saves not wanted.

Seems to me that will still ignore the problem of loading save files from the cloud server, but I'll try it.

Another reason not to let too many saves pile up is that at some point you might expetience performance issues and crashed. I had quite a few crashes at the beginning of Chapter 3, looked it up and this solution turned up, deleted some save files, problem solved for me.
