Hello GOG,


is there any option to just get the weekend-deals newsletter like some months ago? Even if I just subscribe to the discount news, I get new releases-news as well. Some time ago I was very happy about the weekly newsletter, but now I had to unsubscribe from all, because I really feel spammed. )=

Hope there will be more options about the subscribtions in the future. Maybe other community members feel the same?

You might however still receive notifications on new releases if they're discounted on release. Which is kinda the point of a deal newsletter.

There was some changes recently. I'm subscribed to all types of GOG messages and I can confirm that there is more of them in the last weeks.

However, thanks to good spam filters, it's the only spam I receive and I like GOG, so I kind of like it ;)

But I understand the feeling, because even I felt a bit overwhelmed with messages containing exactly the same deals more than once (or it's just my subjective feeling that there were such emails).

Today I got a mail which had no discount, but I definitely just checked to get teh discount mails ... something seriously is wrong with the newsletters from GOG. :(

You only get a reply notification if somebody quotes your post. Like this. ;)

Another option is to subscribe to the newsletter via RSS feed and read it with an RSS reader (I use Mozilla Thunderbird for this). This way you can use keywords and other filters on the subject line, body, etc. to filter only content you want, or filter out certain content you don't want. May or may not do exactly what you're looking for, but it's another option some might not be aware of.

Recently I even got two mails per day on some days. Seriously, this is ridiculous. Unsubscribing eveything for now. What a pitty! :(
