Just read the email with the 3 big changes (one of them being the much discussed ending of the fair pricing program).

However, I am a bit uncertain of the meaning of the last item they mention:

"We’ve also refreshed our Voluntary Refund Policy now offering refunds for GOG Wallet funds."

Does this mean you will no longer be able to get an actual refund, but only by means of wallet funds (which, to add insult to injury, also expire)? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Yep, that is what I understood as well.
It sounds like they now give you the option of refunding whatever GOG wallet funds you've added to your account.
No. I think it means if you buy wallet funds, you can now get a refund for them.

This. Looks like they are offing refunds now for Wallet funds if you have not used them and if it hasn't been longer than 30 days... when you buy wallet funds.

I appreciate the input, but right now we have three different interpretations in one thread. Do any of you have an actual source where GOG phrases this in less ambiguous terms?

What is ambiguous about it? It's quite clear if you read the user agreement:

"e) Refund for GOG Wallet funds: You may request a refund for GOG Wallet funds within 30 (thirty) days of purchase if they were purchased on GOG.COM and if you have not used any of those funds."

I was referring to the line from their email which I quoted in the OP. And clearly, I wasn't the only one who found it ambiguous.

The wording in the actual user agreement though, is much more clear. Thank you.

I don't see anything that would indicate you can't. If you compare the old aggrement and this new agreement (as far as the Voluntary Returns Guarantee"). The only new sections appear to be 7.3(e) and 7.5.

Interesting, seems to suggest that purchasing GOG Wallet funds will be possible outside of GOG? If so, could that mean that purchasing GOG Wallet funds for someone else is also coming (at some point)?
