snowkatt: do keep in mind that gog is getting absolutely hammered by people downloading the witcher 3 right now
skeletonbow: Which is true, but also mitigated to a degree by people such as me for example getting full speed downloads from GOG no matter what method I use to download/install at full maximum speed of my connection (3.3MB/s). I'm sure The Witcher 3 may likely have something to do with it, but it's not a 100% global problem it seems. I've been trying to look for patterns in the minimal data people provide who report slowness and the best I can tell is the mostly seem to be in Europe.
In Canada it's rocking so fast it knocked my socks off! Now I have no socks!
I'm in the UK and have no problem using the Galaxy Client or any other download method for that matter. I have a 100mbps connection which usually maxes out at 106-108mbps or ~12.87MB/s. The Galaxy client maxes this nicely while still allowing me to browse the web, etc.
Have people tried limiting the connection amount in the Galaxy client? It's in the client settings and is set to 10 as default. This may also be a router issue, which usually becomes apparent on cheap ISP provided modem/routers, especially with higher download speeds. Put simply, they cannot keep up with the amount of connections and/or sustained data rates.
