I've just had it now after "buying" the HD Textures Pack for Fallout 4...... I say "buying" in quotes because it is actually free...... and this extra pop-up claimed that "purchase" entitled me to £15 cashbask! Just click here to claim.

Oh yeah.

Sure.

Seriously though what IS this? Surely GOG wouldn't let something crooked so deep into their site as when you actually add something to your library?

Do you have a screenshot by any chance?
It sounds like those "Powered by Rokt" ads at checkout that people were complaining about a while back:

Edit: confirmation that they're official is at post 21, by the way.

I didn't quite understand what the actual problem is here.

After purchase, some pop up that says "click here"? Can't you just not click the pop-up, maybe even closing the pop-up?

Annoyance level 0.01.
Maybe he has ocd?

Those ads seem to trick old people too.
"enhancing your shopping experience"

Porn pop-ups when
Good thing I use an ad blocker and therefore never see ads on the internet.

That would really suck for people who don't use one, though.

You all should really start using one.

It wasn't anything to do with Amazon, this was just a normal "adding a free title to my library" job.

No, as I just ignored it, and moved on, but I also thought "I should have screened it" afterwards!!

Pics or it didn't happen?

Also, on a similar note to #7, everyone should switch to Firefox sooner rather than later, because Chromeium based browsers are gonna have their adblocking protocols expunged/kneecapped pretty damn soon.

Next time it crops up, and I'm certain it will soon, I'll screen it. But yes it DID happen, pics or no f-in pics!!!! :D

It's happened again. This time with some utter bullshit about "redeeming your team" or something.
But at the bottom, there it was, "Powered by Rokt".

Looks like Ice_Mage is correct then, but I'm not using any of these Amazon codes. This was another free transaction in fact, for the title "Helium Rain".

Evergreen statement. You can try clicking "Cookie declaration" at the bottom of the page and removing your consent to anything optional. That supposedly stops the post-checkout ads.

That cookie menu hasn't worked for me in ages. If you're in the same boat, you can alternatively delete all GOG-related cookies in your browser. You'll have to log in again, so beforehand, make sure you have a valid e-mail address set up, in case you have to deal with 2FA.
