After ordering your wonderful games, we get sent to a beautiful page showing us our purchases. Click on a game and we're whisked away to our library. Why?

It sure would be nice if we could DOWNLOAD our purchased from that beautiful page listing the games we just purchased. Instead, we get sent to our library and get to go find the new games ourselves.

Why have this extra work?
I'm not quite sure which beautiful page you're referring to, even though I bought something recently. I'm probably so used to how it works that I don't notice it anymore. Anyway, this doesn't refute your point, but it helps a little to have your library "sorted by purchase date", so the games you bought appear right at the top of it and you don't need to search for them.
Are you the same guy who complained that it was too much effort to click on a game so that you could read about it? :P

I guess you mean the page you saw right after completing your order? :)

It is a purchase confirmation aims to provide info such as order ID and bought items.

In order to download your games please simply go to your library.
I also found it kind of odd that there wasn't a link to immediately download the purchase games. It makes sense, sort of, because typical software developers are selling only one or maybe a few applications rather than thousands like GOG. But the extra step at the time of purchase still feels odd to me.

Though, that extra step could make the difference with getting a refund for a game not downloaded yet (within 30 days of purchase), since there's no refund for a downloaded game.

That's a good point I hadn't considered. I don't refund games, so I hadn't thought about that.

To the rest, I'm glad you find my post so "retarded" that you had to comment instead of just moving on. The anonymity of the internet is so wonderful, you forget human beings are behind that screen name. Thanks.
