HijacK: What the fuck? Literally. What is wrong with those developers?
That is about 2800 € to 3800 $ for the full game, at currency value.. Must love.. Trains.. :/

koima57: That is about 3k dollars for the full game.. Must love.. Trains.. :/
It's actually almost 3.9 k. And I would be sad if someone actually bought the entire package. No. Just no.

Not only that. The developer literally wiped the forums clean at some point and censored all criticism of the prices. I remembered a time ago, there was a lot of grumbling about the prices of the DLC.

While Steam players often complain about everything under the sun, in this case, there is some justification for it.
Total cost of the all DLC = $3818+
Even with a 75% off discount it will cost you around $954+ extra if you want the "full" game.
That's just price gouging, plain and simple.

I'm making a guess, but the train I have would be more fun to ride than any in that game.

GOG should do what it did for a couple titles for all titles with DLC: When DLC comes out, delist the main product, make a new listing that is main product +all DLC, and apply a (properly scaled) purchase discount for the new product for those who already have the "base". DLC shouldn't be listed/sold separately.

This can be the case only if the publisher or dev agrees to it. If not, bad luck.

We can only do that at the publisher's/developer's request and we do that as soon as possible once we get the official info :)

WOW! It is a personal train you can physically ride in then? Crap! I feel guilty when I buy a new released game at 60 bucks, I can't even imagine justifying to myself spending that much on a game!
With 3000$ I think you can actually do those routes in real trains.

HijacK: Unless the developer or publisher give official word on the possibility of DLC or not, there is no way or knowing.

[...]
Just for the record regarding Shadowrun Returns - the Berlin campaign (Shadowrun: Dragonfall) was funded through Kickstarter (it was a stretch goal) and as such was planned to be part of the game. That plan was changed much-much later during development and was announced as separate DLC that backers would receive for no additional cost, but everyone else would have to purchase.
I have a feeling that in six months this will be a very long list.

It still required more funding. Just as you said, it was a stretch goal, and the contributors received it for free because of their support.

To be fair, model train lovers are known to buy a lot of stuff for their little playground. From extra tracks, different cars, little plastic trees, or even train conductor uniforms. That hobby has to be one of the most expensive and addictive legal hobbies.

Yeah, but model trains and their extras are DRM free. You won't walk down to the basement to find out the company took all your trains and little plastic trees because their servers crashed, they folded the company, got bought out, changed their EULA, etc.
