Three down, two more to go!

Kentucky Route Zero - Season Pass, an alluring adventure in a magical realist Kentucky, now with the third act of five, is available for $18.74 (25% off the full price!) until 15:59 AM GMT on 13 May 2014.

While most of us may know of Kentucky as the Bluegrass State, there is a secret network of highways and byways whose paths are known by a select few. Inspired by such point-and-click adventure classics as the Monkey Island or King's Quest, [url=http://www.gog.com/game/kentucky_route_zero_season_pass]Kentucky Route Zero plays like a Ray Bradbury novel with its slightly off-kilter reality, working class mythos, and sweltering summer nights. Oh, and office bears.

Kentucky Route Zero is a point-and-click adventure in five acts with a heavy focus on characterization, atmosphere, and storytelling. Featuring a variety of old hymns and bluegrass treasures coupled with a unique middle American atmosphere, Kentucky Route Zero is perfect for the discerning fan of the magical realism genre. The intermission is over and the third act has been added to the Season Pass. Act III arrives with its own soundtrack, available in both MP3 and FLAC formats for your listening pleasure.

So grab your ornery hound dog, warm up the truck, and get ready to take a longer drive through Kentucky Route Zero for only $18.74 (25% off the full price!) until 15:59 AM GMT on 13 May 2014.

tfishell: Kind of a "meh" day for me.

Could we get a confirmation on whether or not an Enigmatic Hint was actually posted to instagram? Or with GDoc away does that mean we aren't getting any?
I don't know for certain but I think most likely we won't be getting any Enigmatic Hints while GDoc's away. My hint for you is that it will be a game of some kind. :P

The only game that hauls copies of itself to the landfill!

Oh no! That simulation is too complex for me.

Street Cleaning Simulator rules! Slowly driving up and down the street with a street sweeper, annoying the driving public which is stuck behind you. That's fun.

Can anyone who played the first episodes tell me how dependent or indepent of each other they are? I already own the pass but I haven't dared to start playing, for fear that the pause while waiting for the next acts will break the flow and that I won't be as interested or won't even remember much when they will finally be released. Does every act have its own story and some closure like the Blackwell episodes or are they more like chapters of an ongoing story divided into parts and suddenly cut off at the ending without warning or with a cliffhanger?
Anyone know when the game will be completed,. I don't buy episodes individually, I prefer to play a game in one go, instead of hanging around waiting for the next episode to drop (Sin Episodes anyone? ).
So does the price go up with each additional episode or is it always the same price for the game.
It does look... interesting... a little.

The price remains the same with the exception of launch promos, of course :)

Agreed... you might want to wait but then again, each chapter sort of stands on it's own...
Yay! I am also waiting for this to be completed before playing. This is now one step closer to being added to my backlog (incomplete games don't count)!
This game has been on my GOG wishlist ever since it was released here. I played the free "experiences" they made available on the official website and I have to say this is definitely my kind of game. For someone who grew up playing point and click adventure games and still finds that genre to be his favorite, has a degree in Literature with a personal interest in Magical Realism (mostly the great seminal works by Juan Rulfo and the whole Latin American Magical Realism movement), Kentucky Route Zero is pretty much the perfect game. Unfortunately, my economical condition has been downright shit, for the last five months, and I've been postponing buying this game, so it's really frustrating to see so many people interested, with the means to buy it, but not doing so just because it's episodic. Please, buy it. I've done my research and each chapter works as a standalone short story of its own. Plus, you'll get all the other chapters as soon as they get released. If any one of you out there is sitting on the fence on this one, please, buy it and play it and enjoy it for all of us who can't.

Also, on the subject of Magical Realism, I'd like to express my sadness on the death of the great Gabriel García Márquez, who passed away last month, on the 17th. Thank you so much for your wonderful literary worlds and universes. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

All this talk of "Magical Realism" it appears I'm ignorant and out gunned in this forum. Shame I just don't get the time to read books like I used to. Or is the internet to blame?
