Last week there were gigantic floods in the Serbia and Bosnia area. The area covered with water at its peak was at 22.900 km2 which is bigger then my whole country. The talk is about 1.000 year floods. The Countries that helped in rescue efforts I know off are: Russia, Bolgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Slovenia and other mostly eastern countries. After last data now help is also coming from western countries.

If you can help out then send following over Red Cross or Caritas: shoes, clothes, dippers, food, disenfectants, antifly sprays, showels, brooms, soda bicarbona and such since more than 1/3 of Serbia has been under water since the catastrophic floods last week. If you send physical goods do check first on Red Cross or Caritas what is needed at the moment since needs change all the time. The City of Obrenovac has been basically destroyed and won't be fitt for living for a long time. Some areas of the country probably won't be livable again. Be advised if you are going to Serbia that first epidemics are starting to show, especially severe cases of Dhiarea.

The same goes for Bosnia and Hercegovina where several regions with cities and villages don't exist anymore. The biggest problem next to the flood there represent minefields left from the Yugoslav succession war which have moved and have to be found again. In the minefields there were over 10.000 mines left. At this moment there are reports that at least one mine has already exploded. Also Bosnia has been bankrupt before this crisis so any financial help is also needed. Big problems in above two countrys also represent a big amount of new landslides that have made parts of the countrys not livable anymore.

Smaller area was also flooded in Croatia where also whole City was damaged and any financial help for restoring the city would be welcome.

Any and all help is welcomed.

My family and I fortunately haven't been directly affected by these catastrophes but a huge part of the Serbia has been directly or indirectly affected. We (as well as every Serb with even the smallest amount of compassion) are doing everything we can to help.
A bit of an update on this. Slovenia is now going to organize an International fundraiser for Serbia and Bosnia since the damage goes in to billions and no country can bear that much damage alone.
