LinustheBold: Thanks, y'alls. It's kind of sucky, yes. The list of things I can no longer eat or drink is long and full of loveliness.
If it makes you feel any better, my sister is struggling with alergies. Every time I go back home she seems to be alergic to something new, but luckily she can still eat chocolate. She can't eat nuts, apple peel (which means driking cider is a big risk), raw vegetables, and I can't bother remembering what else. So she can only go to a restaurant where she trust the kitchen, as if they sleep something that wasn't supposed to be things could go badly. You can imagine how that makes traveling pretty difficult for her.
And yes, I know that shared misery is a fool's consolation, but it's
some consolation.
