The adventure that can last forever.

Driftmoon, a charming and detailed indie role-playing adventure, complete with a robust mod editor that will let you create your own complex scenarios, is available 20% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.99 for a week, starting today.

Here's a game that will make you smile. It's plain to see that a lot of love and passion of its creators went into the process of making Driftmoon happen. This fantastic world was created with great attention to detail and no corners were cut when it came to producing the fable-like story. The creators' affection for their work is present in every dialog, every corner of the map and every little item in the game's world. Even though at times it's a little rough around the edges, this title presents everything that's good about indie role-playing development!

Driftmoon sports classic role-playing gameplay, complete with quests, battles, items, skills, and a party of adventurers. The charming 3D world is presented in fixed-angle top-down view, so it's always easy to keep track on of what's happening on the screen. The main scenario is full of adventure, secrets, dread, and enchantment. Even stories of pirate treasures take part in your quest! Once you finish the original campaign, there's a mod editor that will allow you to create your own fantastic land and experience other player's creations!

Step into the colorful, fantastic world of Driftmoon and let your inner-child experience a wonderful adventure, for only $11.99 on GOG.com. The promo lasts until Tuesday, March 5, at 10:59AM GMT.

XYCat: Is it something like Torchlight (judging from the interface) or is it something actually more like an rpg?
It's not a hack-and-slash, don't let the vitality/mana orb fool you. It's a story-driven adventure role-playing with puzzles, dialogues, and whatnot.

Leroux: Can anyone who bought the GOG version confirm that it's not the most recent V1.001, as posted by this user? If this is true, I think it should be brought to Ville and Anne's or the GOG staff's attention (the Driftmoon subforum is currently a lot less active than this thread, so I thought it should be mentioned here).
Yes, I can confirm. The GOG installer provides the 1.000 version of the game, and doesn't seem to find an update even with the automatic update option enabled. We'll clarify in the morning (it's 00:30AM in Poland and 1:30AM in Finland right now).

Just to back up G-Doc, I would also like to point to this post:

AnneM: Sorry about that, I may have done a pretty good job hiding them. I take full blame. :P They'll be in different places on different play-throughs too, so you'll never have it quite easy finding them. But then again, if it was too easy, it wouldn't be so much fun when you actually find one!

You could also try changing the view to top-down for a little while if you want. Maybe the goldfish is just lurking behind a some tree trunk! Oh, and make sure to pay attention to the goldfish icon in the upper left corner. If it appears, the goldfish is very close, and it gets bigger as you get closer to the thing. :)

Ps. There's special bonuses involved too when you've found a certain number of those little critters!

fortune_p_dawg: Hey Anne, from what I've read around the GOG forums and your own, Ville has submitted a slightly updated version of the game (1.001). If I start playing the current build (1.00) will I be able to transfer my save when the updated version comes down the pipe?
Check your account :D. We just uploaded a patch that brings up your Driftmoon install to version 1.001.

kalirion: Just noticed the update. For those of us who haven't installed the game yet, do we need to run the installer and then the patch, or is the installer already patched?
Installer then patch. We will, eventually, update the installer, of course :D.

and ninja'd ...
