Shadow of Chernobyl + Clear Sky + Call of Pripyat up to 70% off!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, the phenomenally immersive FPS survival horror series set in the terrifyingly believable radioactive "Zone" surrounding the explosion site of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, is available up to 70% off on GOG.com. That's only $14.97 for the set of three for the next 72 hours.

Not many people truly understand what it means to be a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. We're Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers, and Robbers. Basically, what each of us is, is a bit of a soldier, a bit of a thief, a bit of a hunter, a bit of a nutjob, and a full-time basterd. Imagine what's happening in our heads. The Zone is calling for us ahead, new locations and unknown threats, spatial holes and monsters hiding in the fog, pitch-black nights and saving rays of a rising sun. You try to avoid anomalies and hide from blowouts, discover the Zone and collect artifacts, cure radioactive irradiation and fight for any stalker faction you like! This is the life, right? If only it didn't end so promptly, ever so often.

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series delivers one of the most immersive and enthralling experiences in the history of first-person shooters. Calling it a "shooter", however, might be a bit of a stretch. The games' focus leans mostly towards exploration and stealth. In most cases, it's best to avoid encounters rather than face the dangers head-on. The Chernobyl exclusion zone is full of things that could kill you in an eyeblink. Strange creatures, physics-defying phenomena, not to mention the other men bold or insane enough to venture into the heart of eastern-european Twilight Zone. The competition is ruthless, as the prizes are great--the fascinating artifacts found in the forbidden land yield unbelievable prizes on the black market. If you think you have what it takes to become one of the fabled S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, the whole story of the Chernobyl Zone opens before you: the original Shadow of Chernobyl, the prequel Clear Sky, and the sequel Call of Pripyat. All three games come with high-quality soundtracks encoded in lossless FLAC format.

For the next 72 hours, that is until Sunday, February 9, at 10:59 GMT, you can get the entire S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series 70% off, that is for only $14.97. Separately, the games come with 50% off discount for that time.

EDIT:
Now, that the release special offer has expired, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are priced at $19.99, $9.99, and $19.99 for Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat respectively. A permanent 20% off series discount still applies, if you get all three at the same time.

htown1980: I wonder what happened to the Democracy 3 DLC….
Set for release at 6PM GMT.

Kunovski: can I please please ask if these games contain original voiceovers, or English ones?
Our versions are the mixed English/Russian versions i.e. if you go to a stalker camp you'll hear such phrases as "Hey bro!" in English but if you go out into the Zone you'll "Ah nu cheeki breeki i v damke" (amongst other words) in Russian/Ukrainian.

Crosmando: Do we get realMyst Masterpiece Edition today?
Not today. Sorry. We have nothing to report on that, at this time.

timppu: Hmmm... Is this game series really developed in Russia? I don't see any double-toilets here:

Ukraine, actually, that's why it's so authentic :)
Feel free to vote for Democracy and Democracy 2 in our community wishlist.

As for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods - there's a mod spotlight feature on the way :-)

Nirth: Why is the MP3 soundtrack 1.1GB for Shadow of Chernobyl?
Fixed that typo :)

real.geizterfahr: Another stupid question regarding languages. The gamecard of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl says the game comes with the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian. Do you really have the German version, or did you just paste the languages on every gamecard? I'm asking because the first game of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series isn't available in German on Steam (while Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat are available in German).

I think I'll buy the bundle anyway, although I just got SoC in the last winter sale... The extras alone are worth the price! And if SoC really is available in German it would be another big extra.
edit: you already ninja'd me :)

justanoldgamer: I have a couple questions:

1- Are most building explorable?

2- Can the 3 games be played with a gamepad?
1. For the most part, yes, if you see it, you can explore it :)

2. I don't know as I can't imagine playing shooters with a game pad :O

Apixelypse: Any other GOGers out there have a weird obsession with anything related to Chernobyl and/or nuclear disasters? Being able to explore the Exclusion Zone from the comfort of my armchair, heck yes.
Well, if you don't already know, they have guided tours there now. Very guided, complete with Geiger counters, IIRC.

Apixelypse: Did not know that. Mind = blown.

*puts $35 saved from promo into jar*
This is one company (not sure how reputable it is myself, this is for example purposes) that does these tours:

elendiel7: I installed the french installer, and yet it was in english.

When I look back on my library, the tab is set to french.

Did I do something wrong?
There is a setup program in the Start menu where you can change the language of the game :)

Wurzelkraft: How much actual "survival" is in the STALKER games? Do you have to eat/drink/sleep for example?
In vanilla STALKER eating helps to restore health while drinking (vodka) clears away radiation and sobriety :D

AFAIK, you don't HAVE to eat or drink but it's fun :D

bansama: I contacted support. Got a follow up email for more information. Sent that. And then nothing. Was hoping to get this fixed before the sale ended.

justanoldgamer: Their office are probably close at this time and I'm not sure if it is possible to receive support during the weekend. But do not worry, I'm quite sure they can change the status of the games in your inventory to gift as long as you do not download them.
Yes, we are done working for the day but I believe there will be someone take care of some support requests Saturday :)

blotunga: How much of a fps is STALKER? I is it like F3 or more like Borderlands?
It's an FPS but not an over the top one like Borderlands as most of the weapons are modeled after real world versions, AFAIK. In the STALKER games it pays to not go in all guns blazing as the enemies know how to take headshots. Also, the atmosphere is not at all like Fallout 3 as it's not really post-apoc, although it feels like it at first, as there is a government outside the Zone, mostly implied or hinted at, and you trade using real world money (rubles).

bansama: Didn't hear from anyone, so bought again so the person they were for didn't have to. Also found another problem with checkout at the same time, so if you can take a look at support ticket BZ132IM7 it would be appreciated.
I don't work in Support so I don't have access to tickets, sorry. I am sure everything will work out :)
