Hey

For a while now I've been wondering if there's a mega-thread somewhere, where you can promote a game that is already on the GOG Community Wishlist, but needs more votes. A sort of awareness campaign for great games if you will. If such a thread exists and I have somehow failed to find it, please point me towards it.

If not...

Well, then Revenant definitely needs more votes!
You can read about the game here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revenant_(video_game))
It's a fantastic action RPG from 1999, and it fits right into GOG.com's catalog.

And of course here's the link to the Community Wishlist entry for the game:
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/revenant
It's currently just above 1000 votes, which is respectable but I think it deserves some more attention.

That is all.

I still have the original and just a heads up, its a bugger to play without a controller (imo), but it is an awesome game and well worthy of being a gog title.

Did we play the same game? I only had the demo (bundled with a magazine), but remember finding it equally suitable to the mouse as Diablo was.

I remember getting chewed into two pieces by the first boss so many times prior to getting a (MS Sidewinder) controller, that it wasn't funny.

I still have it, maybe I can give it a shot with the M/KB see how it controls, it was one of the very first PC games I bought, so maybe I just wasn't used to the M/KB to get past that guy.
I remember not having any trouble with the keyboard/mouse controls. However the game was very buggy and kept crashing on me. I never got it to work right :( I ended up having to give up on it because the crashes were too frustrating (I'm not sure how far I got before I gave up, but it probably wasn't too far overall)

I would like to see it on GOG, but maybe they had too much trouble patching it to make it stable. If it had that much trouble on the PC's it was originally designed for I'm not sure what would happen running it on a modern PC.

It has enough votes, many games with less votes have made it into the catalogue. Probably some acquisition problems with it, then.
Am I allowed to vote even if I'm not sure that I would buy the game, just so other people who really want it can play it here?

Yes. Nobody is forbidding you.

Nice, thanks! I'm goint to vote for it.
I asked because I somewhat remember reading something about only voting if you would buy the game.

This is usually a rule of recommendation being set by people that try to promote a game through a giveaway. Nothing enforceable really.
I remember I had a demo CD a long time ago that had this. I never had the full game, I looked around a little and most of what I read mentioned the game was never finished? But it is?! I want this game!
looks like a good game. Voted.
