Back when I was in high school, we had a small aquarium. It wasn't anything to write home about, but it did contain fish. Yes, fish!

As far as aquariums go, my dreams were a bit larger at one point, but...well, let me tell you.

My backyard has a very large amount of unused space, so I had a large pond dug up, with an intent to release catfish into it. Growing, fishing, eating, what could be better?
So I got 1000 tiny catfish from the local Animal/Agriculture centre, and released them. You can see, from there they grew quite large (as long as my forearm). Unfortunately, there were some serious floods last year, and the neighbour's sewage contaminated my water, resulting in...the last picture.
I couldn't even eat them, so in the end, they were washed as well as can be washed, and used for dogfood.
There are probably just a couple dozen catfish left, but I'm hoping they'll start growing in number again soon.

Just quit counting at 49 or something, then I won't bother you. But seriously, happy birthday.

I had a tiny aquarium long time ago (10+ years), I think I never had more than two fish at a time. Despite my efforts to feed them regularly and clean the tank, the fish kept dieing about every month so I just gave up quickly.
