I have no desire to wrongfully take advantage of gog or anything like that, I don't personally see this line of questioning as wrong (and whether it is or not is besides the point of this thread). Now I KNOW you can still get partial bundles at a reduced discount, but, cheaper is cheaper.
Say (as a hypothetical example) I had Thief 2 on gog, and Thief 1 on steam, and only wanted Thief 3, but this other guy wanted both Thief 1 and 2. Is there some method for purchasing a bundle where after paying for the whole thing, I could split it like that (and then give my portion of the money to the other guy or the other guy give me my portion of the money through paypal or whatever)?
I know if I bought it for myself, Thief 2 would become a gift, and 1 and 3 would be redeemed to me.
From what I can tell, if I buy the entire pack as a gift, there's still no way to redeem individual games separately.
But I'm certain I remember receiving a gift link once where there were several games, many of which I did not have, where I only redeemed one game. How exactly was that done? Is it even possible, or did I imagine it?
As a completely side issue, someone told me that gog galaxy would have some system implemented that would be able to tell what steam games you had, and incorporate that information somehow (like when taking into account discounts on gog without including games you already own on other platforms). Is there any truth to this?
