So I've seen the summer sale, and as people can tell, I've been here for a while. I have won many games, and been gifted many games, so during this summer sale, I will be giving away some games.

For this first week, its Demonstone, of the D&D Games.

There is only three rules

1. To Enter, Pick a Class from below, and explain why its your favorite(IF you have a different RPG/FPS Class that is your favorite, you can also use that one, but put RPG's Rule in your post)
2. You can enter for someone else(Still requires Rule 1)
3. Lets all have fun

Classes
Fighter
Thief
Mage
Cleric

On Saturday the 21st, I shall draw randomly.

Good Luck to all

Edit: Change to rule 1

Thanks for the giveaway, not in!!

I've always had a weakness for mages. But not those from the DnD universe, with all of those rules etc., some of the more overpowered ones, you know, have enough mana and you can wreak all the havoc you want to :D

Went with a Mage in Planescape: Torment, because that's the best and most interesting choice you can make, but I'll really have to re-consider when playing Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. Might still go with a Mage, but whatever I'll do, I'll get some help on the builds first :D
Thanks, I'm in.

I usually pick up fighter in rpg, because they are easy to use, and usually you can play almost no-brain with those.

BUT

On the Souls series, I tend to pick mage: they are useless in the beginning, but then they are the powerful class in the game, since there are powerful spells.
I'm in as well! I had this game wishlisted for some time. :-)

As for your question, for some reason I tend to pick the Thief class in RPGs. I don't know why not something else, but I think it has something to do with me considering the Fighter class as dumb and Conan-like, while thinking that magic spells are overly complicated (I certainly don't know how I got that perception) and healers are too weak and need to be protected the whole time. Plus, it seems that looting stuff and eliminating targets from a distance (thieves in most RPG's are good with ranged weapons) has more appeal to me than being a fighter and killing monsters or a mage and casting spells. And to think that in real life I'm not at all the thieving type. :-)

Anyways, thanks for hosting this giveaway Landeril and +1 !
Thank you, I'm in.
Demon Stone is on my wishlist because I didn't know it before to see it on GOG. +1

I choose the Cleric, because he has Faith, and kill your foes with the help of your God is classy. He can also health the party, which is useful in critical situations or after an hardcore battle.
To conclude, the Cleric is always on the battlefield in a shiny armor, that's better than to wear a beast skin like a Fighter, a dressing gown like a Mage or a filthy hood like a Thief !

Thanks for the giveaway, Landeril, but I'm not in. I will answer your question, though.

Fighter/Mage has always been my favourite combination. I had a lot of fun as an Eldritch Knight on Neverwinter Nights 2, buffing my character to unholy levels and then hacking and slashing apart with a greatsword. It's also lots of fun luring opponents, having fire resistance and casting a nice fireball on myself. >:D
In for Treasure.
I tend to go with a Mage, cause you don't want to get too close to those nasty orcs.
typically I'd go with the Magic-user/ thief combo... For many of the same reasons that Grargar hit on, except that instead of flailing away, you are throwing spell to buff surprise, backstabs, or incapacitation (then execution)
You're a little weak on the HPs, but with a bonus Cons can fight a while toe to toe, and have spells to help you disengage.

Another favorite, rarely seen (or sometimes not allowed) is Cleric/Mage as an Elf a Cleric/mage can even wear armor and cast. Offensive AND defensive spells, healing, armor, OK Hps, decent array of weapons AND turning of undead.

Not in. But I love clerics. They can kick butt or heal. And I just love playing support. Thief/Rogue is a good time, too. But there's nothing like bringing back a person from the brink of death!

In Neverwinter Nights, a wizard kicks butt. Resting is only a 10 second sit down vs. a full 8 hours of rest, so you have near unlimited spells. They are very fun.

Not in but thanks for the giveaway!

Thief, aka Rouge is my favorite as the class requires a bit more role playing and I love how they are kind of the swiss army knife of any team. Need a back up dpt (damage per turn) flank and start backstabbing, need to get in somewhere quietly, that what thieves are for.

This is good news indeed. Will have lots of fun when I get to those games, then!

And talking about hybrid classes, a Magical Fighter is my ideal. Slashing opponents and bombing them with arcane magic is just so....awe inspiring! =D
In.

I prefer fighter since it's harder to imagine myself casting spells or doing thievery stuff.
I'm in.

I usually pick fighter as I dislike messing around with spells or ranged combat.
