OldFatGuy: Are there any folks out there that use Steam, have heard a lot about the Two Worlds series, but for whatever reason has never gotten around to getting any of the games? If so, maybe today is your lucky day, because I'm going to give away a Steamy code for the entire collection of the Two Worlds Series.
Included with this are:
Two Worlds - Epic Edition
Two Worlds II - Along with the Pirates of the Flying Fortress DLC
Two Worlds Castle Defense
Now I haven't played Castle Defense, but IMO Two Worlds is one of those RPG's that just doesn't quite get the notice that many others do, but is just as good as most any RPG out there. Does it have flaws??? Yep, as does every RPG I've ever played. But all in all IMO this is one of those series that just doesn't get the credit it deserves, and I sometimes wonder why.
But I also wanted to point out, for those of you who that DO already have parts of the series, that each part is on sale this weekend at
Bundle Stars for really good prices, and they also have some really good prices on some other great games. Now I realize that gog offers these games (except for Castle Defense, unless I'm mistaken and they also picked that one up) as well as most of the others but the prices there this weekend deserved mention in my giveaway IMO. I mean Gorky 17, Septerra Core, Earth 2140, Enclave are all just a buck. The aforementioned Two Worlds Castle Defense is also just a buck. The two remaining Earth Trilogy entries are just $1.20 each. Two Worlds Epic Edition is just $2.00.
So, if you are Two World's fan and haven't filled out your Two World's collection yet, maybe you'll want to take a look over there. And if you're one of those I mentioned initially who haven't yet tried the series, here's your chance to do so FREE. One specific flaw of the first game warrants special attention though. I played through it with the flaw and it was annoying, so I want to mention that there is a fix here at gog for it. The flaw I'm speaking of is when the character's speak, their lips don't move. At all. I know, it's a small thing, but the game is so good at immersion with it's beautiful scenery and top notch music, that this is an immersion breaker. But there is a fix in the Two Worlds subforum for this flaw.
So, without further ado, here's the contest. It's simple.
Pick a number from 1 to 100. In the screenshot below, is the already selected number by RANDOM.ORG (albeit scratched out with my mouse and the pen from the Snipping Tool) and when the winner gets the right number I'll post the original screenshot before I took the Snipping Tool pen to it and obliterated it. At that time, you can click on both this attachment and that one and it will open up two tabs next to each other that you can click on and compare and verify that they are indeed identical, except for this one being blocked out.
RULES:
ONE GUESS PER POST.
POST MUST BE UNEDITED.
YOU MAY MAKE AS MANY POSTS AS YOU WANT, but they must remain unedited, meaning if you're too quick and the forum software merges it with your last post and makes it edited, then no guess in that edited post will be considered.
I will monitor this thread continuously, and will announce the winner when someone posts the correct number in an unedited post. If this doesn't garner much interest and very few guesses are made, then I'm just going to let it go until someone either posts the correct number or the thread dies a natural death 50 pages down, in which case no one will get the whole collection. Which is too bad, because it really is a great collection IMO.
Good luck.
