It kinda feels personal - like a spotlight is being shone on my little corner of the web
Does anyone else get that?
I mean we're all personally invested in GOG and CD Projekt generally so The Witcher feels like a part of us while we might imagine the average gamer coming across it and making comparisons to Skyrim or whatever and hopefully note it for future purchase but its just another AAA game to them (do they even notice its from a relatively 'indie' studio and not one of the big boys?)

Then, I suppose you also get hardcore gamers who have no interest in the classics or true indies but are MAD into The Witcher and frequent the Witcher / CD Projeckt Red forums - I guess they have wisecracking hoteliers and people making weird, OCD lists over there too - like some kind of strange, parallel dimension!

BTW the PC logo at the end was 'PC DVD' Really? Not GOG or Steam or both? Were CD Projekt being diplomatic without putting multiple logos up for essentially the same format or is securing an actual, physical release these days not only, in some ways dated seeming but also a prestige thing? Like its proof its not just some little Indie download but something you can buy from proper shops and everything?

Finally, the actual game looks pretty neato, I guess, too!

I like how it said PC DVD, that ensures to me that I'll buy the freaking DVD and I didn't buy download software, because I like owning the game physically, especially a huge game like the Witcher.

I do agree with your original sentiment, makes me feel kind of war and fuzzy in a way.

Anyone else notice the earlier trailers and images hit hard on the viking images (a la Skyrim) and the more recent stuff looks more Witcher, which is more Renaissance France/Russia/Poland etc.. I, personally, was a little worried that the Nilfgaard designs would look all Viking-y for a while, given the early stuff, but I am ecstatic that instead the Nilfgaardian soldiers are more like the Witcher 2 designs (Goodness, that was a good game, I need to fix my freaking computer already and play that and Medieval II).
