The uncanny valley is still present and accounted for, but then that has the unfortunately proven psychological effect of getting more unsettling the closer CG gets to reality.
But I agree, the mix of stunningly natural modelling, texture work, animation, motion capture and beautiful cinematic lighting really sells the cutscenes in this game like few games I've seen before. I truly am in awe of the artists at CDP... they're absolutely at the top of their game!
