It's very important to note that you must have The Witcher 2 installed to be able to preload. I deleted my Witcher 2 setup files thinking that the Enhanced Edition would be a completely fresh download and it wasn't. Luckily I have a fairly good connection and I had The Witcher 2 downloaded and installed again in 2 hours and the preload is running now.

If you don't have The Witcher 2 installed, the preloader just won't run pop up with a polite error.

I own the Steam version and it's letting me download, so it appears as if it works with that version of the game. I just pointed the install directory to the same drive as my Steam directory. Seems to be fine. I guess we'll see.

So does it take up 10gb in your My Docs folder like the other patches? Heads up to SSD users.

You can set the download folder to wherever you want. Doesn't have to be My Documents.

Just don't move the files between the time you download them and the time you install the EE patch. Doing so will confuse the downloader.

Thanks, I didn't realize the downloader was a separate client from the game launcher. Where's the link to get the DRM free version of the game for Steam users?

Can we stop the download and resume it at a later time ? I'll probably won't be able to download everything in one sitting.
