I got a problem. I tried to download The Witcher 2 2nd update and it kept saying connection error so I reinstalled the game. Now I can't even play the game at all. It wants to be activated but still I can't because it says connection error. I made sure the firewall allows it through but it is not working. Short of downloading the the updated GOG version is there anything I can do to get the game to activate and install the patches so I can play?

Edit: I reinstalled it for a third time and now I can play but now I can't download the 1.2 patch. The game does not want to download any patch.
