If you either click the INstall Link from the downloader or have GOGdownloader configured so it will automatically start the install, you'll be up for a surprise.
It opens a bin file. In my case it opened the file with the associated program. VLC Media player.
It would be nice to watch the witcher play. But I'd like some interactivity. Thank You. Not a deal breaker, but gimme a break. I've spent more time doing QA than enjoying the game.
Instead you should run the installer(*.exe file) from the download folder.
These type of things just show the lack of QA assurance on GOG. I hope things are polished out.
