Can anyone help me find the supposed manual patches available for download in the My Account page. I certainly cannot find them, and the game is not autoupdating.

Thank you.
You can download the EE patch manually at the support page on the official website.

I'm not sure where you would find them on the My Account page though. I haven't seen them on there myself.

Okay, the official 0-->0.35 one doesnt want to work. I have version 0 off gog.

Will the gog version of the game need to be patched to some extent before it will even run?

Anyhow, after finding the autoupdater wouldnt work I decided to follow the instructions on the gog support site -->

IF YOU JUST BOUGHT THE WITCHER 2 ON GOG.com:

1) Download and install The Witcher 2 from GOG.com - this way you have version 1.0.
2) Go to "My Account", download the 1.0 -> 1.3 patch from the "additional content" and install it.
3) And there you go, you can now enjoy the latest version of the awesome RPG!

<--

However, the patch is nowhere to be seen. Most upsetting.

Are you sure you're running the original 1.0 version? Depending on when you bought it, I believe that GOG updated the installer automatically. Try loading up the game and clicking View Readme File in the launcher. That will tell you which version you're at.
When trying to run the launcher I get the error "The Witcher 2 Launcher Application has stopped working".

No real idea why. But I was assuming it was because I didnt have the patch.

In both readmes in the game directory however, i only see "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition ReadMe – April 17, 2012" In the header

Right clicking launcher and looking at details tells me version number 1.0.0.0

I've tried reinstalling without antivirus in case that was interfering but to no avail...

My head hurts...
It sounds like you've already got the Enhanced Edition patch if the Readme files are labelled as such. Not quite sure why the launcher won't start though. Have you tried running witcher2.exe file directly? It's located in the bin folder.
Hmm, yes, but I get the error

"Please set registry key
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework\InstallRoot to point to the .NET-Framework install location"

Which to be honest is something I havent researched yet....any ideas?
Honestly, I'm not really too sure about that one. I have heard that people have been having problems with .NETFramework errors ever since patch 2.1, but I don't know of any fixes. Which version of Windows are you running? There may be something up on Google that might help.

EDIT: I found this article on Microsoft's support page. I'm not really sure if it'll help or not though.

EDIT 2: This article might prove a little more useful. Not sure why I didn't think to look there first.

Tried the framework business, no luck. Bizarrely enough, this helped. Thank you so much for your help though. How do I give you rep?

I'm not really sure how to give rep here, although it doesn't really matter anyways. Sorry I couldn't have been a bigger help, but I'm glad to hear you got it working. Enjoy the game!
