Desktop specs...
CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 635 (2.90 GHz)
RAM: 6 GB
OS: Win 7 x64
Video: HD 5450 1 GB with Catalyst 12.6
I know there are other posts on this topic, and I apologize in advance. Those posts (mostly from last spring or laptop users) did not solve my problem -- namely, that I can't run the game at a decent clip with any settings. According to this thing, I should be able to run the game just fine: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/intro.aspx?name=The%20Witcher%202:%20Assassins%20of%20Kings&id=11073
I've turned all the settings down (including turning uber off) and attempted to run the game at 1280x720 both full-screen and windowed. In all cases, the video of the characters cannot keep up with their speech (in the intro or tutorial) and the FPS is too low for swordplay.
I have two monitors, but turned one off via Windows settings before starting up the game.
I tried lowering the resolution further, but could not read the blurry text.
Any ideas?
