Yeah, dialogue for me loses a lot of frames. I'm tempted to turn off the cinematic-only effects like DOF etc. but honestly, this wasn't happening before.
Same issue! I thought i turned something on in the advanced options menu that caused this. It's rather annoying since the game itself runs ok.
I have the same problem. Pre-EE the cutscenes ran fine, now the fps drops like crazy. Even in fist fights it goes down to the 20's. I had to turn off cinematic DoF, maybe they did something to make that setting more demanding?
What are your specs? In another thread it seems a lot of people with nVidia gpu's have performance troubles.

With my HD5850, everything is smooth, so it might be something in de drivers or something CDproject messed up in regards to nVidia support.
i have 2 5850s and i also see that performance is worse only in cutscenes (not in all of them but for example the first one with geralt under the rain runs worser). Performance during actual gameplay is the same as before for me
Same problem. NVIDIA card, the game ran great prior to the EE patch, now runs incredibly slow for cutscenes and meditation. Gamebreakingly slow.
Hey all,

I was rather shocked at the HUGE drop in FPS I was getting after upgrading to EE. I found it to be the fault of Cinematic Depth of Field.

I run a 2560x1600 monitor now compared with the last time I played it but I really think dropping to 20fps in the opening cut scene (maxed settings except uber, obz) with a 2xGTX570SC sli set up is pretty low.

Just wish I tried it out before installing the EE patch. Is there any information regarding this issue?
yes, it's known that cinematic deth of field causes frame drops during cinematics, fist fights and meditation.

The effect got changed, now it's more visible and i guess it's more demanding, so much that i had to deselect it so that it runs like before the patch
