Loved playing this game years ago. I have a CD with his game but its impossible to play with windows 10 because of its DRM protection needing old windows. Would love to be able to play it again <3

I played Castle Strike back in 2004. By the way, just take a look at the games that came out that year, almost every title was a hit. But in my opinion, Castle Strike never got the recognition it deserved. I still remember the atmosphere that completely immersed me in the game. It felt like real medieval times, no fantasy, just pure historical warfare. Well, there were a few mystical elements, but they were minimal. The soundtrack was absolutely stunning. Sometimes, I would launch the game just to listen to a few tracks. The game’s mechanics were well thought out you had to build a unit, then separately create a horse, and manually mount the soldier onto it. for each siege weapon, people must be manually assigned. Units could walk or run, and the camera was fully rotatable, allowing for 360-degree views and zooming in and out. Some might say, "So what?" But back then, not many games had this feature. Even Warcraft III had limited camera movement. The only other game that comes to mind with similar mechanics is Rome: Total War, where you could rotate and zoom the camera freely. But that's about it, I can't recall any other games like it. I played Castle Strike for hours, even late into the night. At school, I would constantly think about strategies to beat the missions. The moment I got home, I’d jump straight to my PC. I don’t remember exactly what time of year it was—either summer or autumn. But I do remember that it was during school break. In a few days, I was supposed to leave for my grandma’s village, where there was no computer. So I had to rush through the game, playing it non-stop for entire days. When I finally arrived at my grandma’s for a couple of weeks, the game’s amazing music kept playing in my head… I still have the game disc somewhere. But unfortunately, you can't buy the game online, there's simply no legal way to purchase it. Please help bring Castle Strike to GOG! That would be an incredible gift for me.

This was one of many RTS games i picked up at random in my youth, and really liked it. i came from AOE, where making siege engines that have to be manned was not a thing, that was interesting at least to me. my old disc no longer works so i'd love a GOG version.
Used to have lots of fun with this. In our tennis club, there was a box with old games people didn't need anymore. That's how I got Castle Strike. Played it for ages, especially loved the German voicelines of the heroes (not sure if that's what they were called), always made me laugh as a kid. I remember great castle building and want to play this again. Sadly I don't have a PC that can play this anymore, game's too old :(

One of the first game i got from a CD attached to a games magazine I didn't understand English very well back then, so I just write cheatcodes on the piece of paper, trying to remember and use them when struggled with campaign - for me it was just a sequence of characters helping to obtain mission's objectives. Years later I connected the dots to realize each time I was writing "IAMSOLAME" (this particular one acomplishes current scenario)
My DVD with the game is too scratched to work and I need the hit of nostalgia this game has. Also some of the mechanics this game has with buildings and customisation of the troops are quite unique.
i was f***ing poor kid, and had to buy the stuff on the discount-Shelf in the Media-Marked, i had the time of my life with this game, cause i expected nothing and got actually a fun game, soldiers walked on the wall n so and blood and all, great. Such easier times... im not crying, you are!

As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.
