Lennus II: Fuuin no ShitoThe second game in the Lennus / Paladin's Quest series. The games development was very troubled and took four years instead of the planned two. Upon release it sold very poorly, even after being promoted through Nintendo Power. This caused the plans for Lennus III to be shelved.
The magic system have been expanded to eight spirits representing the elements Fire, Light, Wind, Gold, Earth, Sky, Water and Void. Which can be combined or used separately for a total of 36 spells. Instead of building up a spirit skill rating by using the spells relating to the spirit, in Lennus II you power up the spirits by defeating monsters and earning spirit-specific experience points in addition to the normal experience points.
A Nintendo Power version of the game was released in 1997.Fantasy
Samurai Warriors: State of WarSamurai Warriors: State of War is a portable version of Samurai Warriors, however, it is not a straight conversion and is made to more resemble Dynasty Warriors, giving it an "Samurai Warriors Empires" style of playing. The gameflow is mainly separated into two stages: the Strategy phase and the Action phase. During the first stage, the map is separated into colored squares and the player is asked to move their character in a turn-based fashion. Terrain affects how the player can act during this stage. What usually follows is the action phase, which asks the player to defeat as many opponents possible within 60 seconds. These stages can tip the battle in the player's favor. There are four main armies for the player to participate in: the Takeda (Western), Uesugi (Eastern), Nobunaga, or the solo army. Completing the game with these four factions unlocks the final stage in the game. It guest stars characters from Dynasty Warriors 4. Oni Zero: FukkatsuLong ago, during the Heian period, there was a village where humans and ghosts coexisted peacefully. Oni Zero: Fukkatsu is traditional Japaneses turn-based RPG, and the last title in the series produced by series creators Pandora Box. The game follows the same formula laid out by Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Characters carry different elemental alignments, which affects their combat capabilities. As their abilities grow, the characters can learn special transformation attacks, and find many different spirits to aid their quest.
The game also features connectivity with other games in the Pandora Max Series. Extra unlockables are available for those who own other titles in the series.
Dungeons & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal SunDungeon & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun is set in the world of Mystara, a setting of the Dungeons & Dragons game. The characters find themselves in a strange, red-hued world in which the horizon slopes upward in all directions, eventually vanishing into a crimson haze at the limits of sight. Their mission is to find and make allies in this new world or else the kingdom and its culture will perish.
The player leads a party of four characters (either the default party or one that the player has created). Characters and races can be chosen from the normal D&D options. The gameworld is viewed from an isometric perspective and the characters can roam around in realtime. Battles are turn based.
