Well, what can I say? A game that already risks being lost today, born, conceived, and played across generations of consoles. Such a masterpiece, carrying with it perhaps the best years of our lives—memories of lighthearted, joyful, and carefree days. The only one capable of reviving it today seems to be GOG. They’ve already allowed me, like many nostalgic gamers, to dive back into memories with masterpieces such as the *Resident Evil* trilogy and *Dino Crisis 1* and *2*. These games let us unplug for a moment and return to being children, even if just for a little while. I trust in the GOG team for the preservation and relaunch of this and other games we deeply miss today. After all, GOG is also about this: a store that delivers emotions through classic, timeless games that are still incredibly enjoyable to play, just as they were originally envisioned and created.
**Why the *Fable Trilogy* Needs to Be on GOG — One of Gaming’s Best Trilogies Ever** The *Fable Trilogy* — consisting of *Fable: The Lost Chapters*, *Fable II*, and *Fable III* — is one of gaming’s most iconic RPG trilogies. It blends charm, British humor, morality systems, and fantasy storytelling like no other series. And just like GOG already has classic trilogies such as *Alone in the Dark* and the *Red Faction* series, the *Fable Trilogy* belongs on the platform for **preservation, accessibility, and DRM-free greatness**. ### Why It’s One of the Best Trilogies: Each *Fable* game offers a unique twist on RPG mechanics and player choice. The series doesn’t just tell stories — it lets **you shape them**. - **Fable: The Lost Chapters** (2005) — The expanded version of the original game is a cult classic. It combined a rich fantasy world, memorable characters, and an evolving hero based on your choices. It’s whimsical, dark, and unforgettable. - **Fable II** (2008) — Unfortunately never released on PC, this entry brought emotional storytelling to the forefront. Your decisions carried deep consequences. And yes, your dog was the real MVP. - **Fable III** (2010) — A bold political twist, where you go from hero to ruler. It’s divisive, but undeniably ambitious, with weighty moral decisions that reflect real-world power dynamics. ### Why GOG Is Perfect for It: GOG is all about keeping **gaming history alive** — especially for PC players. The original *Fable: The Lost Chapters* already exists on GOG, but **the full trilogy deserves to be unified** on the platform for fans and newcomers alike. Much like how GOG curates and supports classics like *Alone in the Dark*, *Fallout*, and *Thief*, it’s the ideal home for *Fable*. Imagine a DRM-free *Fable Trilogy* with mod support, quality-of-life improvements, and restored content — it would be a dream come true for RPG fans.

Breath of Fire
Breath of FireRecognized by Capcom as their first traditional role-playing video game, Breath of Fire would set the precedent for future entries in the series, and features character designs by company head of development Keiji Inafune, as well as music by members of Capcom's in-house sound team Alph Lyla. In 2001, the game was re-released for the Game Boy Advance handheld system with new save features and minor graphical enhancements, with the English version being released in Europe for the first time. Set in a fantasy world, Breath of Fire follows the journey of a boy named Ryu, one of the last surviving members of an ancient race with the ability to transform into mighty dragons, as he searches the world for his sister. During his quest, Ryu meets other warriors who share his quest, and comes into conflict with the Dark Dragon Clan, a militaristic empire who seeks to take over the world by reviving a mad goddess. The game experienced mostly positive reception upon release, and was followed by a direct sequel, Breath of Fire II, in 1994.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed KingDragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is the eighth installment in the Dragon Quest series, developed by Level-5 and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 2 video game console. It was also later released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2015. It is a traditional Japanese-style role-playing game with random enemy encounters, simple turn-based combat mechanics, and management of a party consisting of four characters, each belonging to a clearly defined class. Unlike its predecessors in the series and most Japanese RPGs in general, the game features a continuous world with fairly vast landscapes and integrated towns and dungeons, as opposed to world map traveling and locations represented by icons. The game features full camera rotation and optional first-person view. Like in the previous Dragon Quest games, many objects can be interacted with; for example, barrels can be physically lifted, carried, and broken, to reveal items hidden within.
