Story:Grand Theft Auto is the first game in the Grand Theft Auto series and a sandbox-crime game published by Rockstar Games. The original Grand Theft Auto is made up of a series of levels each set in one of the three cities in the game. In each level, the player has a target number of points to achieve, and five lives to attain the score. The score counter doubles as a money meter; the player can spend this money on paint jobs and various other things. However, any money spent is of course taken away from the score, making the goal that little bit further away. On obtaining the target number of points, the player must then drive to a certain location to complete the level, which allows progress to the next one.Show more

All the GTA entries seem community-supported and there are ways to get them to run under Linux (any fellow Steam Deckers in here?) All of them? No, sadly GTA I is a glaring omission, and it's a nightmare to get it to run under modern hardware, in this case Linux. I'm sure a Windows version that got some GOG Preservation program treatment would run pretty fine in a Proton environment too and even if not... Man I would love to own GTA I as a GOG release with all that peace of mind that comes with it!
The Very start of the game series that is considered a household name. i can remember renting this on ps1 in the late 90's from a video store. this was the very first game i played that let you explore complete urban freedom just going on a crime spree in all 3 cites (Liberty City, Vice City, San Andreas ) which laid the cursor for later installments in the series. The game would be such an amazing fit for GOG.

The original Grand Theft Auto was unforgettable for pioneering the open-world genre, offering players unprecedented freedom in a top-down, satirical view of urban crime. Its simplistic yet addictive gameplay allowed for exploration and mischief and I recall playing this game with friends, passing the controller around, each of us trying to outdo the other in chaos. The fun was in the freedom to choose your path, whether it was completing missions or just causing havoc. The challenge was in the strategic navigation to avoid or outrun the police. This first entry in the franchise deserves preservation because it set the foundation for what open-world gaming would become. Having it DRM-Free on GOG would keep this piece of gaming history accessible, allowing new players to appreciate where modern classics began, and ensuring that the legacy of innovation and freedom in gaming can be appreciated without barriers.
I played it many years ago, but at that time I had downloaded it from some random website... I think they should add it because, besides being a very good game and the first in the franchise, there is no other way to acquire it in a licensed form (both the first and second games)...
As a kid growing up in the 90s, this was one of the first video games I have played along with a few other that still fresh in my memory. GTA along Doom, System Shock, Diablo, Chrono Trigger, Baldur's Gate, Half Life , Golden Eye etc are the games I spent most time with in the 90s and defined the chilhood gamer in me and I would love to own GTA 1 on GOG and play it again to relive my childhood.
This one a remember that i go to my classmate house to do a paper to school, we did it extra fast just for us spende the hole day playing GTA hahahaha was my favorite game for a looooong time!
grałem tą część na kompie z windows 98 ale była po angielsku a chciałbym żeby była wydana po polsku ta część gry bo w tedy gra się fajnie i rozumie misje całkiem .
GTA, what else to say? In my youth I'd feeld like a gangster with my copy of the game. "Bad guy" music, stealing cars, driving arround. Not understanding a lot of the storry. it's what I think of when hear good old game.

This game was a massive part of gaming history. I own it on Steam, but I can't play it! I would be very happy to purchase it again on GOG if I could just so I could play it again! I know there are ways and means to get it running, but the main issue is modern day controller support.

A true classic, the one that started it all. This game along with it's expansions and sequel, were available for free on Steam and on the publisher's site for a limited time. It was sadly removed as the developer's couldn't make it work properly on modern systems. GOG should bring this game back and fix it properly.

Mega Man 10
Mega Man 10The 8-bit old-schoolers of the world have spoken. And boy, did they do so decisively. When Capcom released the NES-style Mega Man 9 back in 2008, they did it as a piece of one-off fan service, and no matter how good the game was (and it was very, very good), no one expected another 8-bit offering in the core series. And yet, here it is. Mega Man 10 can be found on WiiWare, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in all of its retro glory. And, it, too, is very good.

Michigan: Report from Hell
Michigan: Report from HellMichigan: Report from Hell, released as Michigan in Japan, is a survival horror game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Spike. It was released in Japan on August 5, 2004, in Europe on September 30, 2005, and in Australia in 2005. This game was never released in North America. Directed by Akira Ueda and planned by Goichi Suda, the game focuses on a news crew for the fictional ZaKa TV, dedicated to covering strange phenomena. The game is unique in the sense that it is played almost entirely though the viewfinder of a camera; and the game is lost if the player runs out of film before solving the mysteries in a mission.

F1 05
F1 05Formula One 05 for the PlayStation 2 was released in Europe on July 1, 2005, and in Australia later that year. It featured the 'Career Mode' concept from Formula One 04, which allows players to work their way through the Formula One teams over the course of five years (albeit a repeat version of the 2005 season each time). This game also supports EyeToy: Cameo, allowing players to place their own face on a driver when creating their profile, but unlike F1 04, though they cannot choose their own helmet. The cover athletes are Jenson Button, David Coulthard and Narain Karthikeyan. Players start out testing for a smaller teams (Minardi, Jordan and Red Bull Racing (Like in F1 04, a generic car does exist, but it is only used in Time Attack mode)). Players then work their way up the grid throughout their 'career' through a mixture of good tests and impressive race performances. As before, consistently poor performances will lead to dismissal from the player's current team. There are also occasional 'shoot-out' tests against the team's second driver (or third driver, depending on the player's current status within the team), in which both drivers complete a set of five laps each and whoever has the fastest overall time (one time based on the fastest first, second and third sectors added together) then takes the race seat. Players can now also view trophies they have received from winning races and championships after each is won in Career Mode for the first time. As with F1 04, "classic" cars (like the Williams FW11) are unlocked once certain terms are fulfilled, such as winning a World Championship. Helmets for Career Mode are also unlocked, and there is also a hidden track (the Detroit street circuit which was used for Detroit Grand Prix and the Paul Ricard circuit in France([citation needed])) available for Time Attack Mode. Notably, since this game was developed before the change in the qualifying regulations midway through the actual 2005 season, this game runs the original "aggregated times" format from the early part of the actual 2005 season in every race in Race Weekend, Championship and Career Mode. This game also has Net Play available. A notable credit is the opening video features the song "Butterflies & Hurricanes" from English alternative rock band Muse. For the first time in a number of years, the fans agreed that this was a massive improvement in the series and the shot in the arm it had so desperately needed. A lot of people had criticised Studio Liverpool for the lack of ambition and progress since the series appeared on the PS2 platform up to that point. With the release of Formula One 05, people saw that great strides had been made by Studio Liverpool in terms of gameplay handling and AI. However, there were criticisms in terms of the AI being too easy on the hardest of settings, and about the penalty system that had been introduced on Formula One 05 which automatically reduced the revs during a penalty instead of the traditional "drive-through" penalties that previous games had seen. Overall though, the fans agreed that apart from these minor issues, Studio Liverpool had redeveloped the brand as a stepping stone for improvement for the inevitable release of the 2006 edition.
