I know what a controversial game to support. It's like Postal 1 but more extreme. It's actually a great game to let your anger out in. You get objectives that may give you a little help to a degree. Sure it's easy to die in this. At the same time, you quickly adapt to whatever happening in the game. The executions really reminded me of Manhunt series. GOG is no stranger to such games. Hatred is more of a game not everyone going to love. But to the right people like me we simply can't get enough of it. This game allows you to literately rip loose. Without games like this, the world would become boring. A game that not only knows exactly what it is. Somehow with all the violence. The game keeps itself interesting especially later into the run.
Why Hatred Deserves a Place on GOG and Recognition as a Dark Cult Classic Hatred, released in 2015 by Destructive Creations, stirred up major controversy upon announcement, but behind its shock value lies a brutally honest tribute to old-school isometric shooters—especially Postal (1997). While its dark tone and nihilistic premise pushed boundaries, it’s an important piece of gaming history that deserves preservation on a platform like GOG, which champions uncensored, DRM-free gaming. Much like Postal, Hatred offers a chaotic top-down experience that puts players in control of destruction. But where Postal leaned into absurdist satire, Hatred plunges into the grim psyche of a misanthropic protagonist in a stark black-and-white world, only punctuated by red blood. The visual style is artistic and deliberately oppressive, making the game stand out stylistically and atmospherically. Despite criticism, Hatred succeeds in its goal: to provoke and challenge gaming norms. Its tight, responsive gameplay, destructible environments, and brutal difficulty curve make it more than just a controversy machine—it’s a competent twin-stick shooter with a distinct aesthetic and gameplay identity. Like Postal, it reflects an era of unfiltered creative risk-taking rarely seen in today’s polished AAA landscape. Adding Hatred to GOG would preserve a unique, unapologetic piece of gaming art—one that, love it or hate it, deserves to be remembered and accessible without censorship. GOG’s commitment to game preservation and creative freedom makes it the perfect home for this misunderstood cult title.
A fun game I had to buy on Zoom-Platform because GOG is too COWARDLY to release it. It's been almost 10 years and the forced controversy is long over, just release it already!.

Afterburner II
Afterburner IIAfter Burner II is an arcade-style flight game released by Sega in 1987. It is the second game in the After Burner series. In the game, players fly a F-14 Tomcat jet fighter, gunning down enemies while avoiding incoming fire. Like OutRun, another Sega arcade game, After Burner II came in several versions, the most famous being a large, servo actuated, sit-down cabinet which resembled a cockpit and moved according to the motion of the plane onscreen. The cockpit would bank in the same direction the on-screen aircraft was banking. There was also a more basic upright cabinet version. After Burner II has been translated and ported to numerous home computers, consoles and mobile phones; including versions for the PC Engine, Sharp X68000, Sega Mega Drive, Famicom, FM Towns Marty, Atari ST, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and Sega Saturn. In Japan, it was released on the PlayStation 2 as part of the Sega Ages classic series. Mega placed the Mega Drive version at #38 in their Top Mega Drive Games of All Time. MegaTech magazine praised the smooth and fast gameplay, as well as the sound.

Espgaluda
EspgaludaA great vertically scrolling manic shooter. In an otherwise peaceful world, the Shinra Empire began conquering nearby nations one by one to expand their territory gradually. Meanwhile, in the Shinra weapons lab, the Espgaluda project produced two successful prototypes: Agaha and Tateha. Fearing for their future, the project's head scientist, Hiodoshi, escaped with the two prototypes to a nearby kingdom, but time after were found by Shinra's troops and Hiodoshi was killed by the attack of the imperial army, the power of the galuda has awaken. You have the option of controlling one of two siblings each with different skills, Ageha faster but with narrower shooting capabilities or Tateha slower but with a wider attack. As you fly through the various stages various mechanical enemies attack with a high number of bullets, often nearly filling the screen. Aside from the regular shots, Ageha and Tateha also have additional abilities which help the player navigate through the numerous bullets. The first is a guard barrier; when activated the player is immune to collisions and as a bonus when the barrier button is released a more powerful laser shot is fired. A meter at the bottom of the screen indicates how much power is left in the barrier. The second ability is called the Kakusei mode; when this mode is activated your character gender is altered and is able to fire a more powerful shot. More importantly, when this mode is activated all of the enemies and their bullets slow down considerably while the players speed remains the same making it easier to navigate through a tricky pattern of bullets. Activating Kakusei mode will rapidly deplete the players supply of green gems; since the number of gems isn't limitless the player may not be able to remain in Kakusei mode for long. When not in Kakusei mode additional gems can be collected by destroying the various enemies. If the player completely runs out of gems, enemy bullets begin travelling faster than usual. Another bonus in the game is gold inguts which greatly increase the players score. These are found when in Kakusei mode; when an enemy is destroyed, all of its bullets will turn into ingots which can be collected by the player.
