  • Why do you want this game on GOG?
I remember how awesome this game was, as a it had a bundle with the PS3 back in the day. I mostly played this game in single player, never really played the multiplayer for this game. The thing about this game is that there were secret shortcuts in each of the races you partook in and it was up to you to find them in those races. You also had to choose your vehicle wisely for races and go certain routes on the tracks better suited for the type of vehicle you chose. Theres a lot more that can be said about this game via YouTube videos though. Reason why I want this game on GOG is that Sony is dragging their feet remastering this series for PS4 and PS5 and some people are not willing to try and emulate these games so this would be a nice welcome addition to play it.

I still remember the PS3 "demo" setup in the electronics shop me and my mom would go to when I was a kid. I was completely mesmerized by the idea of a off-road, chaotic, racing game. This game was the reason I bought the PS3 console, with my own money that I collected from previous birthdays etc. A true core memory.

Need for Speed: Carbon
Need for Speed: CarbonNeed for Speed: Carbon, also known as NFS Carbon or NFSC, is an Electronic Arts video game in the Need for Speed series. Released in 2006, it is the tenth installment, preceded by Need for Speed: Most Wanted, succeeded by Need for Speed: ProStreet in release order and succeeded by Need for Speed: Undercover in chronological order. This was the first game in the series to gain the PEGI rating of 12+.[citation needed] The game is a sequel to 2005's Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The locations of both Most Wanted and Carbon (Rockport and Palmont, respectively) are featured in the 2010 MMO game, Need for Speed: World. The PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance versions of the game are called Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City, set in a fictional city named Coast City with a significantly different storyline and also featuring different AI teammate abilities.[2] In 2009, a version of Own the City was also released on the Zeebo as a pre-installed game.[3] Need for Speed: Carbon is the final game released for all sixth-generation consoles (excluding PlayStation 2)

Need for Speed: Underground 2
Need for Speed: Underground 2Need For Speed Underground 2 takes place in Bayview after the events of Need for Speed: Underground. The prologue begins with the player driving in a Nissan Skyline R34 in Olympic City (though the racing scenes are actually in Bayview), the setting of NFS:UG. He then receives a race challenge from a rather ominous personality who offers him a spot on his crew, but "won't take 'no' for an answer." The player races off — despite Samantha's warnings — only to be ambushed by a mysterious driver in a rage that totals his Skyline. The driver, who has a unique scythe tattoo, makes a call confirming the accident, and the flashback fades out.

Need for Speed: Carbon - Own the City
Need for Speed: Carbon - Own the CityAlthough this version of Need for Speed: Carbon - Own the City shares its name with its counterparts, the game is completely different. Unlike the other versions there is no canyon racing or drift racing. The goal of the game is to build up a gang of the best racers and take over all the city's territories. The driving is all city-based similar to the open world of Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The tuner culture/car customization features started in Need for Speed Underground are also present. There is a light story, presented as comic book style illustrations, that unfolds as the player take over territories and complete chapters.

Need for Speed: World
Need for Speed: WorldNeed for Speed: World was the fifteenth installment in the long-running racing video game Need for Speed franchise published by Electronic Arts. This iteration was co-developed by EA Black Box (rebranded Quicklime Games before closing in 2013) and EA Singapore. It was the first freemium MMORG in the Need for Speed series (though Motor City Online was originally conceived as a Need for Speed game) and was available on Microsoft Windows. World was released worldwide on July 27, 2010. However, people who ordered a "Starter Pack" had an early "head-start" in the game, which started on July 20, 2010. Need for Speed: World, along with other EA free-to-play titles Battlefield Heroes, Battlefield Play4Free, and FIFA World, went offline on July 14, 2015.
