To me, the 2D Ninja Gaiden trilogy on the NES is underrated when compared to the other platforming series on the console. You've got Super Mario, Metroid, Mega Man, and Castlevania for starters--all iconic. But for whatever reason, Ninja Gaiden's 3D series has overshadowed the classics to the point where if you're talking about how much you love Ninja Gaiden, you're seen as odd if you clarify "Well, I mean the 2D games!"
So, as a fan of 2D Ninja Gaiden to the point where I've outright begged people to play The Messenger as I thought it'd be the closest we'd get to a new 2D Ninja Gaiden... Ragebound's trailer was akin to finding water in a desert.
GOG deserves this title. It's the answer to retro gamers' prayers, we've got a throwback Ninja Gaiden game! And it's a SEQUEL. This needs to be preserved.
