"Paradise Cracked" is a Tactical RPG designed in hardcore cyberpunk style (closest analogies - Blade Runner, Armitage III, GITS/DTP, "Sprawl Trilogy", Johnny Mnemonic). Developed by MistLand and published by Buka, it initially released in Russia and CIS countries, known domestically as "Код Доступа - Р.А.Й." (direct translation - "Access Code: H.E.A.V.E.N").
This game is people's beloved classic and is a very solid TRPG experience. It also had a direct prequel in form of "Власть Закона" (released outside of Russia/CIS as "COPS 2170: Power of Law").
Both of these games take place in "REALITY 4.13" dystopian cyberpunk space opera (majority of Solar system was already colonized, gets heavily terraformed and mined out by the time the aforementioned games take place) setting, where "internet" (the said "REALITY") developed to such a far (and downright scary) point where literally the entire populace is being automatically chipped with "modem" right into the brain at birth, and "going online" might have severe ramifications because "online" itself has extremely high sensory and visual fidelity, where people couldn't discern actual reality from "REALITY" anymore. All governmental and service functions of the "society", all entertainment/media, are fully and wholly doubled (and tripled) in "REALITY", many people never leaving it right from the infancy age (basically equivalent to Matrix).
ENTIRE planet Earth is one big massive "internet" now. This (naturally and unfortunately) attracts thousands of hackers, assassins, maniacal murderers, sex predators, and other heavily asocial groups, which constantly try to mess with people's minds and visions, twisting their opinions and forcing their actions. Which eventually resulted in "mass brain hacking" event at a point, that led to mass murders, debauchery, thievery/arsons, civil unrest, all in broad day light. "REALITY" had to be "revised" and "updated". Hence the "4.13" build of "software" by the time both games take place.
